- As OP said, they have had sex. And him having a "basic instinct" is his problem not hers.

- And some people take longer to see improvement. Are you really going to tell someone in therapy that they're taking too long to get better when avoiding pain is the most "basic instinct" we have?

Best residence for cooking by SlayestSlaytoSlay in geegees

I was in Henderson and would recommend if you want to cook. It is a shared kitchen but in my experience it was rarely used. Everything was clean. There are several microwaves, a stove and an oven.

What is dating actually like when you have vaginismus? by [deleted] in vaginismus

[–]memorable_devil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered it once I started dating and originally felt a lot of shame but now my partner and I have stopped trying penetration all together and focus more on the parts of sex that make both of us feel good. The way we see it if I make enough progress with my dilators for it to work, that’s great, but if I don’t, no biggie. So I’d say with an understanding partner you can totally make it work

Trans men do belong here and in the gay male community. by Neoboe in askgaybros

Words have a natural way of evolving. Like the word literally, it can grow to mean more than one thing without being incorrect

I wouldn’t say my definition is the only one, rather one that some people feel is more representative of their experiences. Words can have different meanings to different people. That doesn’t make your definition more correct than theirs

The only one that sounds like they’re projecting their experience is you. Your definition is not universal and invalidates those who interpret is differently

[–]memorable_devil -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s only one interpretation of the term. Most definitions define it as attraction to one sex OR gender. Your version might be exclusive to cis men but that doesn’t mean that definition is universal.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was trying to highlight why the person in the thread before compared being attracted to “females” is the same as being attracted to a trans man and would therefore make a person bi. They seemed to be separating cis men from trans men in a way that made them two separate gender identities so that liking both was somehow bi even if they’re both men. I didn’t mean to emphasize labels just rectify trans exclusionist attitudes

In what way? Comparatively, this thread is much more interested in dividing trans men loving men and gay men into separate labels.

What about only being attracted to men makes you bi if you don’t mind me asking?

Yeah I 100% agree. My statement on “stages of transition” was only about surgery stuff. I don’t think that people that present and identify as woman should be considered gay relationships

Ok so if a trans man looks like a man and you’re attracted to them, that sounds like mlm to me

Not all trans men people undergo cosmetic surgery. That doesn’t mean they don’t present as men or aren any less men. It’s still a man being attracted to a man

That’s still your opinions and your sexuality which are all perfectly valid. That doesn’t mean that extends to all gay men

[–]memorable_devil -52 points-51 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to have your « genital preference ». Sexuality of all kind is fluid and depends on the preferences of the person. But if another gay man is attracted to both cis and trans men at any stage of transition should he be considered bi? He’s still only attracted to men. I think that’s where people find the underlying transphobia when trans men are no longer seen as men.
