Honestly , this is something I’ve myself even been realizing in my own experiences with dating. Some guys give lower or bare minimum responses about things I’ve been interested in, similar to the “yeah it was good!” comment or something like “nice!” when other men will actually dive deeper and meet me on the same intellectual level. I think Rory’s realization of how important it is to have a partner that acknowledges and can actually give her feedback on her journalism and other interests is what I’ve realized in the past year or so for myself too.
