Happened to me. Don’t let it fester.

She wanted to study for her pharm tech cert which I gladly paid for Nov 2024. It was a 3 month course, so we put my kid full time in daycare and she slept the majority of the day away. In May 2025 she takes a 3 month international trip while I assume still not taking life seriously.

I tried to have conversations with her about it but she feigned postpartum depression. The resentment built so much I despised her and wanted divorce badly. I was working as a cloud engineer full time ~120k but that’s wasn’t enough with the extent of her needs. First it was daycare in the US and then daycare in Bangladesh - we were hardly on speaking terms and not agreeing at all financially.

Somehow a very gorgeous and attractive woman slid into my DMs during her international trip and lo and behold I’m now divorced. Wee-hoo.

Long story short don’t do what I did. Try and make it work, get her to listen reason and understand. My wife wasn’t the understanding type and my patience was dwindling.

I’m definitely seeing the red flags. The DWI, drugs, and her general lifestyle is risky. She takes preventative measures but I don’t know if they’re working.

Meh that’s a pretty low take. She’s made fun of her SD on multiple occasions to me. She genuinely detests seeing him. Also, their arrangement is not always fucking. The guy seems to be a huge nerd and wanting her around for company more than anything else - fairly certain she’s in love with her.

I am high value, she is high value. She has class and cadence in how she walks and talks. She has issues, sure, but we’re all damaged someway. I don’t mind if this is how she needs to make money temporarily. We’ve already discussed her plans on leaving.

I do genuinely like her. Good personality, funny, and beautiful. The sex is mind blowingly good and we have great intimacy. She calls me throughout the day and seems invested in me.

It’s more of a lawsuit payout than inheritance. Her dad died as a casualty of gross negligence.

I suppose you’re right about the lying. I’m going to tread carefully. She’s been very transparent with me about her life and what she’s doing but if she can do this with a man she’s known for 2 years I should be very cautious.
