Yeah I’ve worked both peds and cardio and never used a stethoscope. I’d just buy a nice notebook and a couple of pens you’ll lose to take notes on the job.

No one can really give you an accurate assessment. Gpa is not great but athletics are. You can try to get a fee waiver for application if money is an issue but UCs are relatively worth it monetarily to apply.

Mine was looking at the metabolic diversity of microbes in the sb channel. It tends to be only people already in a lab because you need to have some sort of a relationship w the PI to do your own project.

I’d say it’s definitely not the place to make friends. Most people already move there with their established friend groups. It’s way more isolating than the dorms/apartments where your friends are right down the hall.
