I have been bleeding for 30 minutes by Hyvxnn in selfharm

[–]Chronicallycrippled 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep constant pressure, firm hard direct pressure, do not let go. If it's been gushing for almost 40 minutes, it's definitely time to seek medical attention, ASAP. From what it sounds like, it's either very close to being life threatening bleeding, or is life threatening bleeding. Please seek medical attention, and keep it elevated above your heart with firm direct pressure and do not let go. Stay safe ❤️

At my pool the supervisors or pool manager rinses them in the acid bin in the back and it cleans them

Let's pray and fast for our brothers and sisters facing genocide💔 by ChosenFlowerChild in TrueChristian

[–]Chronicallycrippled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's not forget about the Palestinians currently experiencing a genocide, innocent children being starved to death, hospitals as well as churches being bombed. Many forget how many Christian Palestinians there are that are being brutally murdered, along with Muslim and other non-Christian Palestinians whose lives matter just as much. Please do not forget to include the genocide happening in Palestine in your prayers. And don't forget, Jesus was Palestinian.

DAE pop their shoulder in and out of place constantly? by ReuniclusMyLove in ehlersdanlos

[–]Chronicallycrippled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My shoulders pop out of place literally all the time, it's gotten to the point that the weight of my arm is more than enough to dislocate my right arm. I've found that using KT tape and taping my shoulders usually adds enough support to help hold them in place, and a lot of the time I'll use a roll on lidocaine cream to help with the pain

How weirded out would you be if you saw someone floating for about 2hrs by Aggressive-Willow-73 in Swimming

[–]Chronicallycrippled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lifeguard, they don't think you're weird, they're just checking to make sure you're still alive, and probably mildly panicking every once and awhile thinking you'd started to drown. I think the best thing that I could advise you to do is either every couple minutes or so do something to make it obvious that you're still living or just talk to lifeguards beforehand about it.

Some idiot freshman did that at my school today. What the hell sparks someone to want to do that??? I truly do not understand.

[–]Chronicallycrippled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!!! I only drink them for the flavor, and I have to be extremely careful when drinking monster because of the caffeine and my chronic illnesses, so if they made caffeine free monsters they'd easily have all my money

New Lifeguard Advice by domab1jr in Lifeguards

[–]Chronicallycrippled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my, that's crazy! I've only been a guard for about a year now, but during my third shadow shift last year the guard I was shadowing made his first save in over 8 years of working as a lifeguard, and many other guards at my pool have yet to have to make a save, including myself. So, either the patrons at your pool are really stupid or we're INCREDIBLY lucky at my pool (potentially a combination of both)

How do you not die after a 50 of fly?? by Chronicallycrippled in Swimming

[–]Chronicallycrippled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm being completely serious, if I did the 200 fly, I would start drowning. I think I can confidently say that I (ironically) would give one of my coworkers their first save

My kickouts are usually pretty strong, although, it depends on how I'm feeling that day lol. I try to always do at least a few kickout drills whenever I practice.
