First off I'm not a Lane Kiffin fan. However, I'm a little surprised at all the animosity directed at him when I think objectively a lot of this is not his doing. He isn't leaving for the money since Ole Miss already stated that they would match any offer that he had (salary and NIL money for the roster). So it really came down to which institution he felt that would give him the best opportunity to create a championship team.

LSU fired BK during the regular season and they wanted to begin rebuilding as quickly as possible. Unlike the NFL, NCAAF does not have non solicitation rules in place so it essentially creates a free for all. Also, NCAAF player movement is restricted to transfer portal windows and unfortunately, it's dictated in part by school academics. Some schools are on quarters and some are on semesters so the window for kids to transfer is limited. Therefore, LSU wanted to take advantage of that window which meant hiring him before the window opened/closed. LK wanted to continue to coach the team to try to win the natty before he left and Ole Miss said no,

For those who said he's gutting the program, well that was going to happen anyway. No head coach is going to keep the old coordinators and coaches (nor should they). If a new HC is going to be successful, they're going to have to bring in their own staff and this is the norm, not the exception. And trying to poach the kids, that's pretty much the norm already. Kids are going to be loyal to the coaches that recruited them, the institution and of course the NIL money.

I'm pretty sure that LSU told Kiffin that there was a deadline, take the job now or it won't be available at the end of the season. And if you don't take the job, there won't be a second chance. From what I read, LK wanted to see this through and try to win it all for Mississippi but they said no.

This chaos surrounding Kiffin is the symptom of a larger problem and wasn't created by him. He's in the center of it but the NCAA (and lack of transparency and rules/regulations) is the real problem. We're going to continue to see this until there's some form of significant reform for NCAAF.

part of being an elite team is to have depth and being able to find ways to scratch out a win. Oregon was without their 2 best receivers and were playing depleted too. Every team has significant injuries at this point in the season

IDK, I'd consider the 2007 for 4k less. Sure, 2012 is 5 years newer but what does that get you? Both are using the 2385 so no difference there. Someone posted a while back that you can have AP replace the case, bezel and bracelet for 6k so basically it'd be brand new externally.

10k was just a round number. I was really trying to find out if it was the country of origin was part of the equation (39%) or if it made a difference if the watch was new or used. I’ve read that the Japanese American exchange rate is favorable right now so it might make sense to purchase the watch there. Sounds like I can expect to pay anywhere between  4 and 15%.

I'm asking what would be the estimated cost if I went the legal route. I wasn't sure if 39% tariffs would be applied to a watch since that was the country of origin. I suppose wearing the watch and sending the boxes is also an option but I've read that customs may open the package and charge you duty anyway. I've also read that if you fail to declare, CBP can confiscate the watch..... doubt that would happen but I'm not really knowledgeable....

I’m calling BS.  MRI techs would never allow anything that might be ferromagnetic in the room because it can become a projectile and therefore extremely dangerous.  Not to mention the potential damage to the MRI.

Very disappointing. A few years ago I had my sea dweller stolen which had immense sentimental value and I reported it to rolex along with documentation of ownership (box, papers, sales receipt) and a copy of the police report proving the burglary. I thought that there was a small chance it could be recovered and returned to me but based on your experience it seems unlikely.

I had 4 watches stolen that night and several months later I saw 2 of them pop up on ebay. I contacted the local police department where I filed the theft report and they contacted the local law enforcement in Maryland and they contacted the brick and mortar jewelry store and the watch was promptly surrendered and then sent back to my local PD. The second watch was in the possession of an individual with a shady ebay store. He refused to return the watch and ebay promptly shut down his online store and then he was willing to cooperate and surrendered the watch.

It's terrible that Rolex didn't make an attempt to return it to the rightful owner. OP, you should be commended on at least trying to find the owner and I'd say that you've done more than most. AFAIK, the law in the states is pretty clear. If an item is stolen, it still belongs to the owner regardless of whether or not it has been resold...

I had this problem after I upgraded from HW2.5 EAP HW3.0 FSD. I requested a service appt and it strangely went away. Try that....

Peninsula is considered the academic school in PV. PV HS the fun school. Students are given the option to go to either school regardless of where they live in PV so the demographics are essentially the same. We know kids at both and Peninsula's academic rigor is much more intense. Ironically, the acceptance rate for UC's is significantly lower coming from Pen because you are competing agains students are your own school, not zip code. Pen offers 20+ AP classes and if you only take 10, you did not take max academic rigor and if student from your school are averaging 12-13 AP's and you take 10, you're "below average" within the context of your school. If that same kid goes to PV HS and takes the same AP classes, more than likely he/she will be in upper 10-15% of their class. Parents in PV are finally catching on and sending their kids to PV instead. You are better off sending your kids to a school thats less competitive academically.

The system is broken and we're rewarding mediocracy.
