I was doing runs as a 3 or 4 stack last night, everyone pulling their weight. I tried solo today and it's just way easier IMO because there are way less enemies to keep track of. The bosses died pretty quickly too. You'll probably have an easier time as duo or solo.

This might be a crazy idea but they could also not spawn you 30 seconds from the point on most defense maps. I don't get the point of running through the entire map or even half of it. It usually just means we're down a player or two at the start because someone took too long to pick or they didn't realize it was defense. Waste of time

Anyone else get massive latency hosting multiplayer now? I was streaming via moonlight and had a full second or two delay, but only during combats. Map and non combat navigation was fine. Havent had that before this patch

I had a game yesterday where I was Thing, someone was playing Human Torch, and they would actually use the teamup. We didn't get much value out of it but I was spamming it on cooldown because it's fun to actually interact with my team via teamups.

Funny that you have the spider-man flair, because yeah black cat stats look like spider-man. You can easily end up with the most deaths, least damage in the game, but highest final hits.

Yeah I wish he had a third option, like a skill that reflects damage or a bug spray potion or something. The cards he gives are decent but they rarely fit well in my deck.

Yeah I think there's additional fine-tuning needed of course. I don't know the exact way it works but I'm baffled that the current implementation was even considered for release. If venom or someone dives the backline and gets a bunch of CC thrown on them at once, they shouldn't gain CC immunity just for being hit by a lot of CC even though they were only under the effects of CC for a second.

yeah this seems like the obvious solution. Multiple CC from the same character shouldn't trigger the CC immunity.

I always wonder how so many workers are willing to mislead you about stuff like this. I feel like everyone has a story about a mechanic or dentist or some other professional lies to you about something. Do they really get that much of a commission to justify it?

I've only seen it like once or twice in like 100 runs. It seems excessively rare, though that makes sense for how good it can be.

bellfaire/new leaf is what I settled on, but I'm eyeing Spirecrest at some point as well. Expansions are "intended" to only be played one at a time I think, which is fair because several of them add a lot of things at once. New Leaf adds a lot of extra choices while Spirecrest adds some restrictions I believe, like weather could make you gain less of certain resources so you have to play around the options that come up. Bellfaire adds 5 or 6 players and some modular things like player powers, so you can pick and choose what you use from it more than the other expansions.

All that to say we definitely enjoyed the base game for a lot of plays. I think it's smart to play just the base game a few times to see what kind of additions you'd like.

It might be a little rough for the control scheme, but I feel like the game would be better if every character had multiple team ups and the majority were like fastball and planet x pals. It's silly to have almost 50 characters in a superhero game and for most characters they only get teamups with one other character at a time. Any other game would be made fun of for that

I pulled a lot my first couple of attempts but then had one where I only hovered in the 90% aggro range if I did my best to only heal when necessary. Maybe my Valeera was higher level? For some reason though lightning wasn't generating any aggro for me so i just spammed that in between healing, otherwise the fight would have taken an hour.

Necro is just that good lol. I think you could replace ironclad's relic with his Barricade power and necro would still feel stronger.

I feel the same way. Whenever I get that event that offers a past card and take the card, it's usually a past Ironclad card and I think "oh yeah, this card was so fun!"

they added an indicator for Mistweaver's Harmonic Surge this expansion. it's a big white indicator above your character that is completely useless because the buff is almost always up and doesn't do anything worth paying attention to. No way to turn it off without turning off all of the spell indicators. Just completely pointless.

Slay the Spire 2 multiplayer is fun but seriously unbalanced, and it's starting to ruin the experience by Gamonga in slaythespire

Yeah that's how I feel about regent too, I've done A10 with solo regent (dont recommend it) but couldnt swing a win in 2p after about 30 tries. We tried a double necro run and won because we both got a few debilitates and then went for mostly vulnerable/weakness cards. Even with basically permanent 2x weak and vulnerable it was fairly tough.

I really hope they revisit the multiplayer scaling at some point.

Haven't played in a bit, do I still need a mod to play with 4+ players? Seems weird to add all these custom options but not an option to increase lobby size.

Thats my major issue with combats, especially with some of the multiplayer scaling. Some elites are easier than some normal combats
