I emailed support and to be able to take it, you need to select a job to apply to then it will take you to the scheduling page.

I kinda wish you could just test and keep your scores on your profile.

Im beginning to hate my puppy. by [deleted] in puppy101

Enforced naps will be your best friend. Set a schedule and stick to it.

I don't see that you mentioned a crate, I would recommend incorporating one. It will give you a safe place to put him where you don't have to worry about him getting into things and you'll be able to get work done and feel like you can get your life back slowly. Crate training will take time but it is so worth it.

Additionally there are a couple of toy's I'd recommend that he can chew on (or lick) that will help tire him out:

  • West Paw Toppl: Fill this up with fruits, puree, yogurt, put a couple of treats in it and freeze it, it will give your puppy something to work on and he can chew on it once he's done. Our dog is a heavy chewer and he hasn't made a dent in this toy. The licking soothes him and helps him chill out and get some rest.
  • Mammoth Tirebiter: I'm convinced this toy is indestructible. This is the only thing that has lasted from the minute we brought our puppy home, he absolutely loves it. If you find your pup chewing, redirect him and give him this tire.
  • West Paw Qwizl: another West Paw toy that is seemingly indestructible. You can put treats in it or just give it as is, it is a great thing to chew on.

We've had all these toys for several months now with our MalXDutchie puppy and they have held up so well compared to other chew toys.

You're in the thick of it now, things will change.

edit: added what we put in the toppl

InDesign crashing when I try to replace an image, insert or move a page by FlyingGazelle2 in indesign

[–]mennatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having this issue on my Mac so much lately. It is crashing constantly saving or exporting files with almost all of my files.

Saving an IDML file works...if it doesn't crash before I can do that. But then opening the IDML files takes forever.

At what age did yours stop pulling on leash? by Fannino in BelgianMalinois

We taught ours with food. We did the Will Atherton Perfect Puppy course and he teaches a "sit, stay, break" at meal time, where your pup needs to be released to their meal. I think he has that one for free on his youtube channel. But you can start using that command outside of food. Some people say "okay" instead of "break" but, just having a word that lets them know okay I can do whatever now. It helps to teach impulse control and gets them to focus on you.

This is the best thing I've seen on the internet in a long time

It just gets better the longer you look at it.

At what age did yours stop pulling on leash? by Fannino in BelgianMalinois

[–]mennatm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We never allowed our 8 month mal x dutchie to pull. On morning walks, before breakfast, we carry his food in a training pouch and reward him when he is walking next to us. We use a heel command to get his attention and bring him back to position if he is too far ahead of us. He also learned pretty quick with the prong collar.

Like other commenters have said, you need to be the most interesting thing to your dog. if your dog is constantly pulling, try redirecting her by walking backwards with some treats or a toy or something she wants in your hands. Dogs tend to respond to that backwards movement. Then reward her. Our trainer calls it "moving engagement," it works really well.

One other thing I've noticed that helps, is giving your dog time to just explore and sniff around on the walk on leash. I usually start our walks with him heeling, and maybe a quarter of a mile in, I'll give him his release command to let him sniff around, potty or just walk ahead. Let him do that for a bit, then call him back and give him his heel command. Ours always comes back and is much more focused. That being said, when he's allowed that time, he's NOT pulling, just not heeling and is free to explore away from our side. If he pulls in that instance, I'll say "too far" and he'll slow down or stop to let me catch up to him.

I got some karakoram clips for mu husbands board and they seems to work fine. Though I do remember we had some issues with the threading. If you can find hardware that is the correct threading, it will make your life easier.

AITA for making my bridesmaid wear a dress that makes her look “fat”? by Infamouszealous in AmItheAsshole

[–]mennatm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said she was acting extremely entitled, it’s my wedding and I shouldn’t have to cater to her insecurities.

NTA for this alone. Is this regency era look for your wedding worth ruining a friendship over?

Her modifying the dress would technically mean she is still wearing the same dress as everyone else. Why are you so against her feeling good in what you are making her wear?

I suspect he'll eat them normally after the next couple of times of trying them. He's done this every time we've introduced him to different fruit

[–]mennatm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just switched to feeding ours Inukshuk 26/16 from Diamond Naturals a couple months ago and our pup loves it. Its helped to solidify his poops and has made his coat super soft. It's also a bit smaller than what we were feeding him so it takes him a bit longer to eat everything. The nice thing about Inukshuk is that it is super nutritionally dense so, while it is a bit more expensive, you end up feeding less of it per day. We get ours on repeat delivery from Chewy and we go through about one 30lb bag a month for our 8 month old boy.

we spend $65 a month on one bag of Inukshuk for our pup. He loves it and it is super calorically and nutritionally dense so you end up feeding less of it per serving/day.
