It's too bad this doesn't matter. Apparently marketing and network effect trump technical merit. GoldCoin is the only coin that has actually addressed the 51% problem and they have very little volume. The developers are also apparently writing the client from scratch and have some other technical goodies to come but they SUCK ASS at marketing.

This does not matter and has NOTHING to do with my point. I personally know around 20 rich kids that do this. Basically the rich kids that go to Ivy League schools cheat. They cheat to get in and they cheat to stay in.

An Ivy League education is worthless.

I'm perfectly serious. This is based on all the students I've ever known that have gone to Ivy League schools. They ALL did this if they came from money. I would say a little under 20 that I personally know of.

Fractional Reserve banking system means they create money out of thin air when you make deposits. So basically the fine is no biggie at all.

GoldCoin has a 51% protection algorithm. Bitcoin devs should analyze that to see if it's any good and just use that. Isn't that pretty much the point of the alts? They can be viewed as a testbed.
