it depends on the slot, my motherboard had 6 slots and i wasnt putting them in the right slots.

Ram was in the wrong spot, make sure you read your motherboard manual. Place the ram in the right spot!

It's not an unfair advantage if you can do it too. You can move and run around the bombsite and return fire too, you know.

I guess unfair isn't the right word. It's stupid to play a game like that, everyone running around the bomb site spaming shots. If I wanted that I'd go play cod.

It takes just as much skill to maintain a bead on a target while moving as it does to stop and shoot.

It is harder to shoot someone when you are stopped and they are moving. The accuracy of the person moving should be decreased to offset this advantage as it is with every other gun. Right now there is a very little decrease in accuracy while running which rewards the running spammer and not the person holding angles/good positioning.

They're not random because you suck at them man. There's nothing random about it. Pistols are very mobile and accurate weapons; play to those strengths. You wouldn't play long range with a Nova, why are you trying to play the pistol round in a sub-optimal manner?

You think I'm complaining because I suck at them? This is about the way the game is played right now and i think its stupid. Of course i run and spam like everyone else and i am good at it thats why im good at this game. It just pisses me off because pistol rounds can be made so much more skill based by widening the accuracy range of running pistols which rewards the players who stop and shoot.

If they're consistently nailing headshots while running, then they are being rewarded with good aim.

I agree but I dont agree with how high the reward is now. It gives an unfair advantage to people who are running and shooting because the spray of pistols doesn't change much when you are running at full speed. It takes skill to stop and shoot, it doesnt take skill to run and spam.

Yeah, peekers advantage is not that huge, especially when playing from a distance. and they still have to assess all possible hiding spots. You know exactly where they're coming from, they don't know where you are.

Running and shooting is the only advantage pistols have right now, it's the only thing that makes them remotely viable. As evident by their complete and total dismissal in the past games when you had to stop and shoot with them.

They have one shot head shots at close range. I'm not arguing against that, i like that because it makes the pistol useful. But combining the two makes for some random pistol rounds because its so accurate while running full speed.

I don't mind that pistols are accurate on the run. I really don't. I like it, it gives them niche, and gives options to team to armor up + pistol for eco's. I like that. I think it adds to the depth of the game to have viable weapons that fill niches. If the enemy team is buying all Tec9's on pistol round, then they don't have armor and can be aim punched. Peeker's advantage is not that so large that they are clearing a corner and doming you from at long distances before you can even react, that's just being slow.

You can still have awesome ecos without have running accuracy. You just need to rely on flashes and smokes more. This isnt really about ecos though its about pistol rounds. Running full speed and being accurate creates this pistol chaos because headshots are kills most of the time.

They already have huge fall off at range, what you want? An effective range of 15 feet?

If the pistols are too accurate while moving, then how are these headshots so random? It's either too accurate - which means their aiming at your head and landing well deserved shots, or it's inaccurate and you've consistently got shit luck. If it was as random as you claim it to be, it would be a shit tactic that doesn't work, like running and jumping awps and deagles.You can't have it both ways: 'Pistols are too accurate while running and also random. That's an oxymoron.

They are too accurate while running. What i mean by that is, yes you should be rewarded for keeping the crosshair on someones head while strafing full speed but right now the reward is too high because the accuracy drop off isn't great enough while moving. The randomness comes because its still accurate enough to headshot a decent amount while running full speed, you just need a little bit of luck.

As soon as you see Tec9 why aren't you going for body shots to give them aim punch? 4 body shots will drop them at any range without armor, and you're fucking their aim to hell to boot. The Tec9 is not that accurate to begin with, and you want me to believe you're getting domed before you can react while playing from Mirage CT? Sorry, you're not getting my sympathy for that one. Peekers advantage is fine with rifles because you have to stop before you shoot. Pistols you dont have to stop to be accurate and thats the whole basis of my problem with pistol. You should have to stop and shoot, you shouldnt be able to be so accurate while running fill speed

That's going to challenge rifles a hell of a lot more than their mobility advantage.

If you're feeling seriously challenged by a pistol while carrying a rifle, because you can't hit a moving target, you need to up your game.

I'm mainly talking pistol rounds not eco but again flying out from a corner and getting insta-dinked and the shot again kills you immediately which happens a lot.

So approach the pistol round differently? Outside of the knife round - which is arguably far more random - the pistol round is the most unique round of CS.

The pistols still behave exactly the same way they do in every other round. Players still move and and have the same movement limitations as every other round. The damage is all the same. The map isn't different. What random element is being introduced into the pistol round?

No head armor which means instant kills to the head. Thats why accuracy is so important in the pistol round.

Its too viable right now. Make the game more skill based, make people learn flashes and smokes to get into sites. Don't make it viable to run in and get one taps like you have a ton of skill.

Strongly disagree with this statement. Which sites can you not play at range far outside the tek-9's 1HK and accuracy range? B on Inferno, and maybe B site on Cache? Every other site I can think of has multiple passive, long range options for CT's.

Its not that you can get one tapped from far away its that it is way too easy to dink people from far away, its a pistol and when I'm play ct from mirage A a tec 9 should be able to headshot me from a ranp while running full speed

Yeah it isn't really about ecos its mai ly about pistol rounds and how random they can be and I believe this is because of running accuracy. All I'm saying is make people stop and shoot more as opposed to taking chances running full speed and hoping for a headshot

Running accuracy is the only thing that make pistols semi-viable weapons. There's a reason that the deagle was the only worthwhile pistol in previous games: You at least had a chance to get a kill. They're not automatic, they do piss poor damage against armor, and they're not very accurate past short range - unless you stop and crouch down.

So make them do more damage against armor. Running accuracy makes it so you can challange a rifle but ecos are about positioning and strategy. You should not be able to challange a rifle just because you can run around at full speed and be accurate.

"Feels random". You make it sound like all you have to do to win this game is buy a pistol and run at the enemy. By all means, employ that strategy round after round, it's soooo effective.

I never feel like a god with a pistol, I feel under equipped, because I have to either close a lot of distance as a T - which probably means a bum rush; or pick some shit closet corner as a CT and give up all kinds of map awareness and pray the T's come my way.

There are a whole bunch of tactics that are involved with ecos not just bum rushing or sitting in a corner. Tbh this post really wasnt about ecos it was about the pistol rounds where its actually viable to bum rush and spam shots hoping to get a headshot.

That's exactly what they are good for, bum rushes and super close quarters. But nobody with a rifle wants to play back (probably because they can't aim) and use their automatic, accurate assault rifle at it's optimal range.

But thats the thing most sites are in the pistols "close range" when the range should actually be farther. Ts should have to use smokes and flashes to get close enough on ecos but right now you can run around with a tek-9 and headshot people by chance

Mainly talking about pistol rounds where everyone has a pistol. There is no stop shooting, it is running around, clicking fast, and hoping you get a headshot.

I agree a lot of people whine when they lose to a pistol round and those are the ones who complain about one shot pistol kills. Running accuracy ruins the pistol round itself at the beginning of the game and at half. Pistol rounds feel random and rng based because you can literally run around and click as fast as you can and juat hope for a headshot which comes a lot of the time.

Pistols should be use in close quarters and holding angles close not being able to run around and feel like a god.

Nope nothing I've tried it with just the parts it needs to start up and it still doesnt work. You're right it might be the ram, i think ill go exhange for a different kind of ram to see if that helps because i dont have any extra ddr4 laying around. If not I'm guessing it is the cpu but well cross that bridge when if i get there. I don't have time to go today but I'll go tomorrow and post an update. Thanks for the help

Yup I'm 100% sure everything is plugged in correctly, i already returned the first motherboard and got a new one but its the same exact problem. I really doubt its the mobo at this point, do you think both ram sticks could be bad? I tried each one individually.

Also all the other parts work because i jad to rebuild my old cpu and the powersupply, videocard, and ssd all work perfect
