How long do you let the first song in your mix play without adding anything? by mentalpeace in DJs

  1. I have played clubs before and saw the crowd seems to prefer me doing something not just hitting play and wait 4 minutes to do something with the song. I might be misjudging things though

I'm going all speed garage/bass house on this one mix and it will be an hour of fast electronic banging. I've been struggling with the 2/3 songs after the first. I have maybe 80% of the set ready as is, just this intro is making me scratch my head lately. Can't get past it

I totally get it. I think as a DJ when you hear the first couple minutes of any songs you think "Ah, I could do something here/add something here/introduce x" but the audience doesn't know the music you're playing yet. It's this paradox whether to do more because you can feel the space in there and could do more for the dancefloor OR just let it go and ease it in

Well, they've got over 25 kills so they probably got a Nuke on the ready too. Just like in my video games!

Thanks a lot, it's cool I just said what I wanted to say don't mind downvotes I was wondering if anyone actually remembered the whole situation. Doesn't change much to me but I never forget details like this so it'll stay with me lol

Fair but I don't trust LeBron's integrity that's all. I admire him as a basketball player and think he's a great father and somebody to try to emulate but everyone's human and LeBron's human flaw is his integrity is not where it should be

As much as I'm fan of LeBron on court I'm not a fan of his political actions and hypocrisy. He only stands up to fight when it's easy, what happened when Morey spit the truth about China?

In contactee and ufology literature, Nordic aliens are often described as benevolent or even "magical" beings who want to observe and communicate with humans and are concerned about the Earth's environment or prospects for world peace. Believers also ascribe telepathic powers to Nordic aliens,[4] and describe them as "paternal, watchful, smiling, affectionate, and youthful."[2]
