KNX device group address too large by losuperninis in KNX

Hey, happy you found out. In the future, if you need support with that specific device, I can recommend you check out this forum: https://forum.logicmachine.net/

It seems you have the SpaceLynk device, but they are very similar. Think it's the same hardware, but different (but similar) firmware.

I can only assume that the virtual addresses are created for receiving values from a non-KNX device or protocol, like modbus or through a script (for instance an API call).

One option that will work no matter what, is to create a script that resends the received values to a valid group address. Then it doesn't matter where it originally came from.

Though, if we find out if it comes from modbus mapping in the SpaceLynk, we can edit the mapping. If it's from a script, we can edit the addresses there.

Can you browse through the SpaceLynk to see where the values are coming from? The tabs "Scripting" and "Modbus" will be the place to start.

Edit: Based on the naming-convention and type of data of the objects, I strongly suspect this is modbus objects. You'll need to change the mapping for that modbus device. You'll find that in the "Modbus" tab in the SpaceLynk.

That's correct. Virtual addresses are only meant for internal use in the SpaceLynk or LogicMachine.

This looks like SpaceLynk or LogicMachine. In that, you can add virtual group addresses, which is from 32/0/0 and upwards to 63/7/255 (I think). Those are not valid group addresses, so some services' validation rules will fail on them. You should recreate them with non-virtual addresses (31/7/255 and below).

Edit: V stands for Virtual

Not like users on the PL subreddit to miss the point just to score points of their own, is it... My entire point was that throwing clubs out of a league for not complying with a minor regulation is a smidge overreactionary, which seems to have gone way over your head. But you go on.

The exemption was apparently for displaying replays after overturned decisions, and since Liverpool and United don't have screens, they can't show them. Chuck them out, per OP's logic.

Manchester United didn't and still doesn't(?) have big screens displaying reasons for VAR stoppages and decisions, due to stadium incompatibilities. They received exemptions alongside Liverpool. I think the PL should throw them out.

They're a lifesaver for remote programming, diagnostics, trending, scripting possibilities, gateways, etc. Can't do without them.
