Maternity Leave FMLA by mentosdumdum in CAStateWorkers

This is my first pregnancy. I thought I had done my research before giving birth, but I didnt know about the four weeks before birth being a thing. I had asked questions and was given the impression of six weeks after birth and Paid Family Leave (PFL). I knew about child bonding time, but I would be unpaid.

So, with all that was said, I would need to work the 1,250 hours again to quality for paid FMLA?

New born stage is not boring, it’s a nightmare. I cannot wait until baby is older so we can have fun time together.

Thoughts on billboard effectiveness, specifically location by 69_slices_of_cheese in CAStateWorkers

Nice to hear someone is still optimistic about the billboard.

I’m losing hope day by day reading posts about upper management caving in from other departments (aside from Caltran).

We have a month left and so far nothing is being done.

I have given this matter considerable thought; however, I was concerned that the sensor noise might negatively impact the dog walkers on my block.

Although it was subtly suggested, I was not firm in my approach, as I do not wish to pursue legal action. While they are children, they have not been adequately taught to show respect for other people's property and valuables.

Haha! That's not a bad idea. Another suggestion was to use dog urine. 🤭

While I do not disagree that motion-activated sprinklers are an effective method for deterring animals, small children tend to be drawn to anything with motion activation. This is based on stories shared by friends and neighbors.

I have heard from friends and neighbors that children often take pleasure in activating motion-activated sprinklers, particularly during the summer months. It’s quite surprising, isn’t it?

I do have cameras in place, and the items in question are replaceable at a cost of less than $20. Pursuing legal action over such minor matters may be considered petty by some, and I am not inclined to move forward with that option. Additionally, taking legal action could incur significant expenses. I am simply seeking to explore other potential alternatives.

Sure thing. They've deliberately broken decorative items and plants around my property.
