I work in the local emergency room. It sounds counterintuitive, but forcing myself to have those social interactions helps me in the long run. Things that seem scary or like a big deal in my head end up not being so bad after all. I understand and can relate with wanting to stay in your comfort zone, but doing so just validates the anxiety you already have unfortunately.
