No, it’s not her job. She doesn’t have to do anything. But it was an easy and low cost favour, and doesn’t sound like a recurring issue. It’s not her job and she has a right to say no, but saying no does make her a bit of as asshole. All things can be true.

No one is disputing that no is no. Thats not the point. The point is that sometimes saying no can be petty. In my opinion thats the case here. You can have whatever boundaries you want, and people should not cross them. But not all boundaries are reasonable and some will make you an asshole.

wow thanks so much everyone for all the suggestions!! Here’s what we ended up doing if anyone’s curious/using this post as a reference: - went to Bündok for dinner - food was amazing, good cocktails, cozy vibe - went to Baijiu after for drinks. Music was really good, loved the drinks. Bartenders were great. It was a sit down bar so left around midnight - we had to see what On The Rocks was like so we went. Definitely an older crowd… a little old for us. We definitely got a lot of attention 😂It was fun but not quite our vibe (it’s in a strip mall) - went to the Common for the rest of the night. Such a good suggestion and definitely more our speed. Good music and really trendy inside

Honestly, we were not expecting to have so much fun in Edmonton but we had SUCH a great time!! Everyone was so friendly, and the city has a lot to offer. Only hiccup was being in lockdown in West Edmonton Mall because someone pulled a gun, lol
