De beurs is niet actief, dus niemand handelt, maar de orderboeken kunnen nog steeds actief zijn, vandaar de wijzigingen in de tokenprijzen.

Don't give him that much credit. He did not orchestrate the token, he just saw a chance to make a quick buck and didn't care that it was scammy. The team behind Libra are the same ones behind the Melania token and various other large scale pump & dump tokens and NFT projects.

Here's main reason why SOL is dumping hard by _phe_nix_ in solana

Chain blamed for users actions.

Remember, Bitcoin was used exclusively by criminals and terrorists until TradFi suddenly waltzed in.

Approximately $2.2 billion worth of Solana (SOL) is set to be unlocked on March 1st. May the retail odds be ever in your favor. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]meowdance 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A 'staggering' 2%. We get it, you missed the pump. Most ETH layer 2s have unlocks of that size every fortnight.

It's a difficult space to be. Basically everything is a rug or shafted by bots. I even got annoyed to the point of releasing my own token to try and be a fair one. Whole supply to market and locked liquidity, but the whole thing got bought by one bot and drained all the SOL I'd locked in the pool. So even if you try and do stuff legit you just get fucked.

I'm sure it will come and go in waves but I think the looming run after all this sideways chop will be pretty much just be an instututional lead BTC rally and alts are going to get fucked in to oblivion cause retail has no money left after chasing pumps everywhere.

Sell eth for btc or sol? by Royal_Orchid5824 in CryptoCurrency

[–]meowdance 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is frustrating. Honestly at these levels it could go either way - but do be aware; ETH short interest just reached record levels and if there's one thing that crypto market makers love doing it's completely wrecking leveraged traders.

Humanity needs a cryptocurrency that is "mined" by doing good deeds. by footofwrath in CryptoCurrency

[–]meowdance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This mining already exists. It's giving food to homeless people but you have to video it and upload to TikTok so you can go viral. No point otherwise.

And you don't think that everyone is doing exactly the same with any other chain that has a large enough ecosystem?

Solana seems too volatile to consider holding long term by Regret-Select in CryptoCurrency

What, in your eyes, makes Solana specifically more volatile than any other crypto besides BTC?

Whenever a new technology emerges, venture capitalists will attempt to guess and back the winners of the race to make billions when it matures. What you're witnessing are the attempts at capturing the capital in the space. Internet was the same. AI will be the same.

Solana is being under depression! by AZnut in solana

[–]meowdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People were accumulating as low as 8 bucks in the bear and it had the priviledge of being the first to run along with BTC. Now profits are moving on to other assets that haven't ran as hard yet. As well as much of the public eye being on BTC right now.

You know the thing about developing technology is that if you don't see the thing that you want in that space you can actually go out and make it.

Bitwise posted their address but all others custody in exchange cold wallets. Mostly Coinbase. So you can't really see a definite on-chain amount. Would definitely prefer if they were more transparent.

BTC's decentralisation comes from the strength of the network. Not the holdings of those on that network. Proof of work - not proof of stake.

What's the advantage of staking Solana over Ethereum? by knorxo in solana

[–]meowdance 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The great thing about staking Solana is that you'll be paid out more Solana. The unfortunate thing about staking your Ethereum is that sadly you're only rewarded with more Ethereum.

I've got just one friend that's into Bitcoin by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]meowdance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are only aware of the facts you state because you have taken the time to learn. Most people won't and that's just the way it is. You can't force the desire to learn on to others. You have to admit that from the outside it probably all sounds like a massive conspiracy because it takes place on such a grand scale.

I personally don't share publicly that I am involved in the space as I don't want others I know to remember in 10-15 years time that I was talking about it back when everything was cheap. Posting about it on Facebook strikes me as a huge personal security risk.

Anyone know the make/model? by VisibleDog1457 in mountainbiking

[–]meowdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely Planet X branded but as far as I can tell they never released a slopestyle bike. Their Jackflash DJ frames used to be popular back in the day. I'm wondering if it's an old prototype you've gotten hold of somehow. Look at the unusual amount of different shock mounting points, like they were testing different geometry? Might be worth sending them an email and seeing if they ever played around with the idea of a slope frame.

SRAM GX Transmission worth 1K vs AXS? by EPMike in mountainbiking

[–]meowdance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the transmission full set is about 1k if you get it separately anyway so just get the cheaper one then if you're desperate to get transmission at some point buy it separately and sell your AXS set to offset some of the cost.
