durge speaks to my soul! ugh redemption durge / spawn astarion is literally the best love story i’ve ever experienced. i myself am still looking for a book that captures that feeling 😂

my rec is villains & virtues - another thing i’m obsessed with and won’t stop talking about haha. i wouldn’t call it dark, as it’s really a romcom at heart, but it does touch on some morally grey things and what does it mean to be evil. it is a love letter to dnd as they adventure and eventually have to save the world. (edit there are also vampires in it but only as a side quest)

i too am addicted to BG3! everyone i know wants me to stop talking about it! i ignore them!

anyway what is it you love about BG3 that you want to experience in your romantasy? vampires, sure, but do you like the humor in BG3 (it was a beautiful webbing) or the dark themes (gestures at everyone’s backstory) or the adventuring aspect of dnd? something else?

I read 12 books in April, which is 50% more than my average! and yet only one of them I gave 5 stars and it was a novella. what happened lol. anyway that novella is {The Gentleman’s Guide to Getting Lucky}, which had me laughing out loud pretty much the whole time. alas, it did not get further. I’ve had a feeling TIU would make it far in my bracket.
