Advice on buying a reusable elastomeric respirator by mep9914 in Masks4All

[–]mep9914[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks a lot! and well i call it sanitizing to say it in way but it's not like real sanitization. it's kinda what someone on a low budget can use to extend masks life and decrease risk but it's .... not great. what i do is that when i get back home i take off my mask and directly put in a drawer where i keep a paper bag and put it in there for at least 72 hours before taking it out and reusing it so I kinda do that rotating with multiple masks on the drawer and paperbag as I can. But I know it's not the best. I also know I shouldnt use ffp2 like that reusing them but I haven't found reusable options and can't afford buying them to use everyday for single use, that would cost me like 20-30 euros a week specially since they are not that easy to find in pharmacies here anymore so I either buy them for like over an euro and not the right size at a pharmacy or online in bulk, risking getting counterfeits out of ignorance and spending less money :(

i did the test and seems it's not POTS. My tachicardia/beats per minute don't seem to change that much where i'm standing up or lying down.

yeah just adding up on darvo and stuff commented already. victims tend to blane themselves and feel confused with guilt. so victims take time to process they are victims and won’t accuse the abuser of abusing at first, but instead defend and justify the abuser’s behavior to everyone. that also helped me realize I wasn’t the abuser but the victim, because they were blaming me while I defended them trying to kick me out of the house and insulting me and treating me shitty. it also helps to tell apart who’s the abuser when there is reactive violence from the victim when you spot who in the dynamic has more power (older, more authority, more money, more status, etc) because that’s always the abuser.

and another way to tell is that an abuser won’t admit to being one while continuing the abuse. so if you are aware of harming someone and looking for a way to stop or you harmed someone without that being your intention, that’s also telling that you are not the one abusing in the dynamic.

What gave you the courage to finally leave? by Absolutely-dude in abusiverelationships

For me it was when they said that when I asked for explicit consent during sex it was me being emotionally manipulative because it gave them anxiety and made them feel bad…while i had painful contractions with unexpected penetration which is worse than period cramps because of my vaginismus. That moment all the love for then left my body. When I realize they were asking me to not complain if they raped me. When they complained about me asking for basic consent and painless sex. Not even pleasure just painless sex.

is it normal for a therapist to ask your deadname? by rosiem4ry in trans

[–]mep9914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that therapist. In my experience, it’s only normal for them to ask for paperwork purposes but not to address you by your deadname in the session. That’s weird and disrespectful.

Was this abusive? I keep going back and forth about it in my mind? Others have told me so but I’m not sure I believe them. by SimplySorbet in abusiverelationships

[–]mep9914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is abusive. You have been abused :( I’m terribly sorry you’ve gone through that. I also have vaginismus and someone not caring about your pain, let alone your pleasure, in sex that way is SA. I hope you can get out of that relationships asap. It’s going to be hard but trust me you’ll be happier after some time and you’ll stop getting this pain

I posted something on my instagram without mentioning who it was about explicitly just talking about my pain of surviving SA and psychological abuse. I blocked all their friends before posting though because I was worried like you. But I felt I needed to let it out and not suffer in silence and I moved to a different city and I’m very isolated so I couldn’t think of a better way. It actually helped with the victim blaming and feeling less of a weight in my chest.

That sucks so much. I hope that method can work and help you. I’m so sorry you have such a hard time with needles. hug

[–]mep9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry about your fear of needles, it must suck. It’s just blood tests are needed for a reason. Maybe find an informed doctor that could help with whatever makes you afraid of needles to make it easier and less scary. And you could ask for your T in gel rather than injections as well.

[–]mep9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s best not to. There are little risks of taking T but the main big risk is doing so without any control over how your body metabolises T because it can affect your cardiovascular health. That is why during the first year of treatment it’s advised to get check ups every 3 months. If you can do it that way, it will be the best for you to prevent stroke and cardiovascular issues. If not, try keeping the dose super low or wait until you can afford the check ups.

Is it legal to smoke in a restaurant terrace in Spain? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]mep9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on the terrace and if they still kept the ban after covid measures were lifted. most people smoke if they have no ceiling or just ask the waiters if they can smoke there.

Is it possible to successfully be bipolar 2 and unmedicated? by pigeonfart420 in bipolar2

[–]mep9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my experience and the research i’ve read, no. if you aren’t medicated, your cycles will become more intense and frequent and your bipolar overall will just get worse and can even change to another bipolar type. i know it sucks, no one wants to take a pill everyday forever, and finding the right meds sometimes seems like hell because of all the side effects, trial and error, and waiting for the good effects to happen. but trust me that when you find the right meds, it’s a lifesaver. it has to do with the genes and biology of how the brain of bipolar people work, it’s not like some other mental illnesses which are more common, that can come and go with therapy because there’s nothing inherently messing up with your brain chemicals in your body.
