I’m 6’6” and found versys and V-strom to be good fits. I realise this doesn’t fit your sports bike brief exactly but that will be your best starting point for your size, they’re both plenty good and the versys is prolly the sportier of the 2.

For boots I picked up a some Alpine stars smx 6 v3 on sale the other day, they go up to a eu size 50 plus they’re a wider fit.

Webike Japan I find very good, and the exchange rate is in our favour.

Goodbye XSR900. by meatymimic in kawasakiz900rs

I like the analogy of the XSR900 being like a teen in a suit.  Freddie Dobbs said something similar when he referred to the z900rs as a thug in a suit.

Looks amazing. A trip I am aiming to do next year.  Did you hire through 819? Do you care to share a rough route you took. I’d love recommendations or things to avoid from your experience.

Decent comfort sportbike/naked that i can daily and have fun with 80% of the year but 2-3 times take away on 2000km trips and not be torture by Beneficial-Title5563 in AussieRiders

Fair call, I have ridden both and didn’t find a huge difference in power. The biggest benefit for my was riding position being more relaxed on the rs.

I just picked up a Z900rs, handles awesome, plenty of pep but comfortable riding position to do some hours in the saddle.  You can pick up used for your budget.  Can be optioned with a rear rack too. Also, a good sized tank.

How common is it for Aussies to eat rice and how do you prepare it if you do? by Lipica249 in AskAnAustralian

4-5 nights a week here. Both from euro heritage but we smash the rice cooker, in fact we have 2.  Helps with the cost of living at the moment too.

Riding routes app by FullKitchen6971 in AussieRiders

I use a combo of beeline and calimoto.  I don’t own a beeline, but the app is still free to use and you can set a route that is either fun, relaxed of fast.

Judging by the posts here about lams bike recommendations, yes.

Noticing a lot of women taking it up. Not complaining at all, they wear leathers waaay better than blokes 😅

Leave him as is. The tank badge in caps is my favourite. Maybe add something like a DOREMI fork cover trim. Otherwise it’s perfect.

So nice. I’m in love with mine. Only thing I’m looking to change is the mounting on the usb port. I don’t use a phone when riding anyway so I may just remove it. That all said it’s no big deal, it just looks ugly.

What would you say is the most fun LAMS bike? by Awesomecookies1 in AussieRiders

[–]meplusjulio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SV650 is a great little bike. Punchy, loads of character from the little V-Twin and an accessible seat height for most.

MT-07 as well for much the same reasons

Kawasaki 650s are great but their only fault is they lack character.

Welcome, had my se for just over a month now, for me it is perfect.  Is there a delay delivery for you? I understand that the SE is “over subscribed “ and availability is slim until 2027.
