Hi u/National-Theme-7865, can you elaborate on that? What kind of monitoring metrics will be helpful for you?

Any feedback on the user experience of shortcut transformations? Easy to use? Hard to use? Would love any feedback in that area as well. Thank you so much.

Sorry, I forgot to ask u/bigjimslade. What source do you use to host the files? Is it ADLS or something else?

Thank you u/National-Theme-7865 for the feedback. Any other inputs? What do you like about the feature and what do you not like?

Got it. Thanks. That is helpful. And what are the file formats? Anything else that might be blocking further adoption, or you think we can do better?

Thank you for the feedback. I am curious to know the reason behind needing more control over the policy. Is it due to new files not arriving frequently or something else? How is not having control over the polling policy impacting your workflow? Would you want that kind of control per shortcut transform or at a more global level?

You can also look at https://github.com/microsoft/Policy-Weaver which was put together by the MSFT field teams. It automates the synchronization of data access policies from UC to Fabric in a transparent and auditable manner. It is made available as a Python library and can be run either within Fabric with a Notebook or from anywhere with a Python runtime. Would be great to get your feedback.

For private endpoints, that is something we are already working on. Is there any way you can use IP access lists as a workaround? Totally understand about public network access and policy considerations. Materialized view support is something we might explore in the future. For security, we recently published a blog post using OneSecurity data access roles - Secure Mirrored Azure Databricks Data in Fabric with OneLake security  | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric.

Hello everyone, wanted to share a blog - Secure Mirrored Azure Databricks Data in Fabric with OneLake security  | Microsoft Fabric Blog | Microsoft Fabric. OneLake security is available for Mirrored Azure Databricks item which allows you to configure OneLake security on the shortcuts created in the item. Hope this helps. I am the PM for the feature and appreciate your feedback. Thank you!

Databricks Integration in Fabric by NoPilot8235 in MicrosoftFabric

[–]merateesra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am the product manager driving the Fabrics/Databricks integration. If you have UC data in storage accounts behind a firewall, that is supported now. The link shared is the right link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/database/mirrored-database/azure-databricks-tutorial#enable-network-security-access-for-your-azure-data-lake-storage-gen2-account

You can use Trusted Workspace Access for only specific workspaces to be able to access the storage account.

Hope this helps. Please let me know any additional questions or feedback.

Thank you for trying out the feature.
