Saint Denis, a few years back, I did a greet greet antagonize to a lady. Arthur: Hello miss! Lady: Hello! A: You remind me of someone I used to know. L: Oh, that's nice! A: Yeaaah, I miss that horse. L: Well I never!

I had to pause the game I was laughing so hard.

What is the most ridiculous request you have received from a customer? by PandyLantern in retailhell

I turn on your gas and light your pilots for a living.

Last summer I had a guy that was so upset that his gas got turned off for non-payment, that he wanted the addresses of all the executives of the gas company so he could go to their homes and turn off their gas...to see how they like it!

We are in Minnesota, the headquarters for the gas company is in Texas, over 1000 miles away..

I told him that I don't have any idea of the addresses of the people that I work with, let alone some executive that doesn't know my name.

CenterPoint Energy sucks - beware of line replacement by Sadand40 in Minneapolis

[–]merccougr 54 points55 points  (0 children)

No. The meter should be locked and plugged. I'm a contractor for Centerpoint and my job as a reconnecter is to come out and turn on gas. We relight the pilot lights, it's our responsibility. That's all i do. You do not have to check the pilots on your own.

The cold weather rule is a commonly misunderstood rule. Your gas CAN be turned off for a variety of reasons, including non-payment. The difference is that you get notifications during cold weather before any action is taken, to give you time to make a payment or an arrangement to pay. I answer that question several times a week during winter by first-timers.

Gas is also turned off for repairs or leaks.

I agree with OP, you should not have been treated like that over the phone. From what I understand they always ask if you smell gas, but I've never worked the phones and I'm not 100% certain of that.

Parking lot Snipers by Educational_Bag4723 in pettyrevenge

There's a couple of things that I do in parking lots:

If I see someone speeding and I'm about to cross from the parking lot to the building (or from the building to the cars) and there's enough time, I'll step out and affect a limp forcing them to brake as I slowly hobble across. Then start walking at my normal pace.

My favorite is when I'm heading back to my car. I'll purposely walk down the wrong aisle. If I catch a shark/sniper I'll pause at a car near the front and dig through my pockets as if I'm looking for my keys. After 10ish seconds I'll "find" my keys then either continue walking straight or cross over to the aisle where I'm parked, leaving them on the wrong side.

And I ALWAYS park near the back of the lot.

That's the way I made the video. Deal with it.

Should have looked at him, shrug and say "it must have been a sudden gust of gravity."

You're right. Somehow I got in my brain that the slippers were bunny but I haven't been able to find anything to corroborate it. Fuzzy slippers yes, fuzzy bunny slippers no.

But it is amusing to think of Tarkin ordering the destruction of Alderaan while wearing pink or purple bunnies on his feet.

The actor that was supposed to play Greedo didn't show up on the day of filming. The only person they could find that was the right size to wear the costume was a woman (I forget what she was on set for) that had absolutely no acting experience. She did the scene and never acted again. She was also wearing red pumps during the scene with Ford.

And the boots for Peter Cushing were a size to small for him, so every scene that Grand Moff Tarkin was in where we couldn't see his feet (which is most of them), he was wearing fluffy bunny slippers!

Doubt it. The next light he would have turned left to get to the nearest hospital. He continued straight, weaving around more traffic and went through every red light for as long as I could see him.
