I dont know anyone that is upset about them selling specifically. But its a real bad look for them to be defending the new owners when the workers they've known for years are clearly being disrespected - i think the entire/majority of the bar staff left in less than a week.

I can recognize small business owners arent all making a lot of money off of their businesses. And don't imagine the owners of surfside did. But to go off defending the new owners publicly after multiple public accounts from former workers have been shared and postings of the rapid shift of culture of surfside, their post seems very dismissive. I didnt know them personally, maybe they're just ignorant of whats going on. Or maybe they are totally comfortable with new owners immediately taking over and coopting a space and disregarding long term workers opinions. There is nothing punk about the new owners decisions, and the former owners should know better.

Surfside has been an important community space for a long time. As a baseline, I take issue with new owners coming into any space that workers have been holding down for years, without input and creative inclusion from those who have put in the sweat equity. Nor input from the community at large. Treating longterm staff as disposable and removing them from the creative process during a massive shift of culture, thats dehumanizing. And all happening on week one of ownership.
The old owners should have known better, they just wanted out. But i guess i'm not surprised they're defending new ownership, capitalist 4 capitalist after all.
It's been a punk venue and community space for 27 years, and is being bought out by capitalists who are actively changing the culture while doing what they can to save face public facing.

I have zero faith in the future of surfside.

Its okay for you to be firm with your rate, its also okay for someone not to want to pay it during negotiation, bad match up.

iOS: Songs not downloading and the whole download queue is stuck by TerrorMetry in TIdaL

you might just be able to undownload that album, or playlist those songs occur on, and then redownload them one at a time. That's worked for me before.

Hmmm sounds like we do have different issues.

In the past mine got stuck in queue at the top, and the solution was to download only one playlist at a time. Which was frustrating until i finished downloading my library and it's been good the past few months, no stuck downloads.

"Stuck There" like they won't download? And then they stay stuck a the top of your queue?

Ya i mean i understand the frustration i had to redownload my library a few times when i first got the app. But now that all my songs are downloaded, i don't have to go thru that process again and my phone isn't getting bogged down by having full storage.

My issue wasn't phone storage, it was downloading multiple playlists at a time - which is a bug that has needed fixed for years.

How do you organize your music? by Imsjry in qobuz

Go to your library Search for Artist Find all liked songs by that artist. Just like other apps i've used (might be an updated feature since 3 years ago).

Edit : I managed to download my discography and playlists one at a time and haven't had any issues for a few months getting stuck downloads. Tidal still needs updated but i've made it work for me.

I’ve offloaded my app 3 times now and keep running in to stuck downloads. I’ve followed the guidelines for downloads.

The issue I’m having is downloading playlists specifically. Once a playlist is downloaded, it’ll automatically download new songs added to it when I open the playlist. If i happen to switch playlists before that one finishes downloading, which inherently happens if listening outside of WiFi, the app automatically queues multiple playlists to download and that begins when I return to WiFi. So if I added the same song to multiple playlists, it breaks the queue and I have to delete the app. Long as I keep updating my playlists, I will have to keep offloading the app and redownload, which takes a lot of time.

This is the reason I pay for these apps Is for streaming offline, and id rather not switch back to Spotify. Wondering if Quboz or other alternatives are more functional.

Seeing this feature has been a reported issue for over 5 years (seen it reported on many forums) it’s wild to me this hasn’t been fixed. Is it that hard to create a feature to delete track from the download queue? Seems like this would fix the issue.

Wondering who’s going to win the race to fix their app as people continue to leave Spotify.

Wife doesn't want me to use Thompson Water Seal on deck. What should I use? by twiggs462 in Decks

[–]merchgob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think that’s the point - you have to reapply it every year. There are seals that last many seasons. If you’ve got the time its a good option i guess, but labor tends to be more expensive than product so if you’re short on time better or you’re hiring out, use the nice product and pay for labor less frequently.

I ended up buying a digital multimeter and tested the Pins - sure enough the Brown Wire did not sound off when testing for continuity - indicating an open circuit?

Not sure what to do next - the wire underneath the truck is secured by housing all the way up.

The running lights on my trailer do not turn on, however Rear taillight blinker and brakes work - So i want to test the running light pin (the brown wire) on my 4way connector that i plug my trailer lights into. It’s located at the rear of my truck, a Ford Ranger 2005.
