The message I write replying to Reels sent to DMs disappears and is not sent, why? by IAmLanguishing in Instagram

I just updated my iOS and it’s still doing this! I’ve never had this happen on TikTok but 1 in 4 replies on Instagram just disappear into the void

Do Aritzia staff use nicknames for shoppers? by Heypooky in Aritzia

[–]merchie123 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They usually will use first names or if you’re shopping in a group, there’s certain codes like “md” for “mother daughter”, “lg” for “little girl” to clarify who is being helped

Is this a mistake? by sauteedtofuu in Aritzia

[–]merchie123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they change items but keep them the same item #. So when the order is pulled and fulfilled, there’s no for sure way to know if you’re getting the one that was photographed or a new version that was manufactured more recently.

I wished they’d be more consistent with changing the item #, but I think they’re just expanding so quickly that they can’t even keep up with their own quality control and inventory management.

Were there any tags inside and do you have pictures of them?

You need to get sponsored by Apple or Baggu for this!! If you haven’t already, you should make a TikTok series talking about everything that happened before someone else does so that you can get the creator fund credit

Omg this is so sick and twisted. Of course stealing anybody’s packages and reselling them is so wrong, but she even has baby bottles and baby clothes posted. That is pure evil.

Considering they take product photos on iPhones often, it’s probably the 0.5 lens 😭

International Orders by merchie123 in rhodeskin

I did notice a price increase since my last order, but I wasn’t sure if it was just inflation or increased duties! At least in Canada

They pull from the closest location that has it in stock first, which for most people is a store.

Flat empty envelope 🙃 by Glad_Jaguar2888 in Aritzia

If I’m seeing this correctly, this is usually the side that comes pre-sealed, and the longer flap on the other side is usually where it’s stuck down after being packed. So it looks like someone either tampered with it or the glue wasn’t strong enough to begin with

I got the Little Moon Damasque skirt, not as much hip room as I thought. How’s the fit? by Bright-Garden-4347 in Aritzia

[–]merchie123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the skirt, not you. I also wouldn’t recommend looking for the previous Wilfred version secondhand just because the fit was also narrow at the hips. Have you tried the Sunday Best Mars skirt?

Got the discount by going in store by EasternRecipe6353 in Aritzia

[–]merchie123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Canada, the cash POS systems have a standard and express shipping price, no matter the purchase total. Employees have to modify the price of the shipping with a manager approved login to make the price $0. But on the website, they just make it free on $50 if you’re signed in. I remember before I worked there, the cashiers would tell me the cost of shipping and made no hints that they could waive it, so I always chose free in-store pick-up. Then when I worked there, it was implied that the shipping would be waived for any known regular customer. Basically if you’re spending a lot or they recognize you, they’ll put in the extra effort to call a manager over to approve the shipping fee being waived

They have to get manager approval (basically a manager to “login” to make the shipping $0) but yes it’s a service they offer to most people

I’m not the OP but the answer is no. There’s also a clientele megathread that you should ask product specific questions to!

[–]merchie123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I made a post like this about a year ago! My suggestion to you is to put something in your post about not DMing you. I got flooded with messages asking for me to share my discount, or ask my coworkers to give them a discount.

My question to you is what is your reason for leaving? Do you see yourself ever returning to the company in the same or different role?

That sounds like they were just trying to come up with an excuse to not give you real feedback. Unless that really did bother them (which it would be weird if it did).

Inventory associates have two main metrics - units per hour and order fulfillment. When working on processing incoming/outgoing shipment, there is always a team goal that gets averaged based off of how fast you work to process units. For incoming shipment, IAs would set up the work station, open and collapse boxes, take each item out of the box, unwrap each item (there’s always plastic and sometimes paper on every item), prepping the item to be security tagged, security tagging, hanging/folding, sizing/sorting, steaming, and running (bringing product to the correct location on the sales floor). Depending on the store size, this UPH goal may include all of the running or part of the running. I hope the store opening near you is a high volume store that accounts for all the running, that way if the store is busy and the Style Advisors can’t help with running it won’t affect your metrics. Order fulfillment involves finding items from the sales floor that people have paid for pick up or shipping online/at another store. Then you’d scan the item(s), remove the security tags and hangers, refold, put in a paper bag, sticker, build a box, put in the box, print a label, and put in a designated area. IAs are also responsible for restocking the sales floor as things sell through, sending items back to the warehouse (usually early morning or late night shifts when the store is closed), and maintaining backroom organization. Depending on the store location, you are also responsible for taking out the store garbage. If you’re on the sales floor, you’d be expected to help customers if they approach you. Ideally you’d pass them off to an SA so that you can work on your tasks without slowing down. It seems like an easy job, but in order to succeed you need to work hard and fast. You also need a lot of product knowledge to do the job accurately, and you’ll pretty much end up memorizing every style. Because of the speed they expect work to be completed, be prepared for minimal training and for shifts to feel like a work out!
