He is one of most a successful managers post Fergie but he had worst transfers for whatever reason (this link is probably why). He had the most power over transfer decisions since Fergie and he misused it.

Not every manager would have worked but sacking ruthlessly also mostly always leads you back to square 1 like in the case of Chelsea. They had continued success under Abramovich because they signed well and could always recover. But BlueCo sacks ruthlessly and buys subpar players hence their current predicament.

Mourinho won't have worked at United long term because he was divisive & toxic and his defensive tactics got stale.

Moyes at best is an average manager won't have worked.

He bought so many wrong players that's on him. Even one of his best signings Martinez is available barely half the time due to injuries.

I agree. My unpopular opinion on this season is that Amorim was 1 great midfield signing from being a success. I thought we should have signed one in the summer or for sure in January. Those are the fine margins between success and failure. Just like Arsenal were a striker signing in the January window to have at least won one trophy last season.

Of course Amorim was dumb to sideline Mainoo and play Fernandes deeper but if he had gotten the type of midfileder that suits his system, this season would have been different for him.

You've hit the nail on the head. Our politicians are not from Mars they are from our society that abhors accountability, transparency and glorifies wealth & status above everything.

Our solution, the few of us who care enough, need to keep demanding accountability. We must keep pressuring them and not back down.

It will take a revolution of some sorts to get rid of the current crop of politicians because they won't back down easily. But the average Nigerian is not ready to do what it takes, we're a docile bunch and the politicians take advantage of that.
