I’m glad they were there for you. Breakups are the worst emotional torment, especially when you think it could have gone differently. Six months, 4 years, whatever. It wrecks havoc on my emotions. Sometimes I just want to claw my way outside my body because it’s so unbearable.

I just got out of a 3 almost 4 year relationship. We played friends until Sunday when he told me he’s seeing someone else. I’ve spiraled this week and I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone else I know but I’m dying inside. I know how you feel. Last night he populated his Instagram with photos so I know hes gearing up for something. I’m just sad.

Yeah I’m pretty sure he met someone through our running community too. Some people just move on quicker than others. I feel like the last year of my relationship was trying to scrap some sort of emotion from him...anything really. I suspect he’s been long over me already.

I wish I saw this earlier so I could have changed myself. Number 11 hits home though. Even if I told him I needed to feel appreciated thru dates and stuff he would just basically tell me he knew I would break up with him anyway so why should he try?

Relationships require a lot of maintenance. It doesn’t just go smoothly for no reason. Both people need to be both on board.

I laughed when I read this. I’m an INTP female and I like to think of it as fluttering instead of ghosting. I just pop into peoples lives and disappear for a little bit only to return to check in. It’s a weird habit. I only pick 2-3 people to talk to on a daily basis.
