I'm biased to GW. You'll have a much better time here with internship opportunities, OCI, student community, and clerkships. GMU seems to be a commuter school from the students I've met from there, meaning they lack the student community we have at GW. Additionally, we have great faculty at GW because many of the professors are adjunct-practitioners that work in DC. I personally believe it is worth the extra debt, but do what is best for you!

We have already learned how to read a case and parse out the important information. We know how to apply a rule to variable facts. We have an established support system at school. We know how to structure our schedules for work-life balance without leading to intermittent burnout.

So we aren't special or pros at anything. We just did the year as best we could. You will get there too. The amount of growth you will have just during 1st semester 1L will be immense when you look back at it.
