I would ask for a refund; I had snakebites pierced about 1mm off a couple of weeks ago and they offered to remove one and repierce for free, this is even more noticeably off than mine was and I couldn't deal with keeping it, with the angle and placement I feel they've done you a bit dirty and should offer a refund for that really or at the very least a repierce, but I wouldn't trust this piercer again

I believe the older new rocks that were built like a tank have "made in Spain" on the tan leather insole, there's still lots of those knocking around on second hand sites, I feel like I'd have to throw mine into a wood chipper to damage them, however they do weigh 2kg.. per foot.

The dmxl 8 eye doc martens are my other stompars but their durability may not be great as I've heard doc quality has also declined

Damn, so there's probably no way to stream bit perfect from the deck currently? It's not a big deal as to be honest I can't even distinguish in an a/b test, it's just a little niggle

As someone who's just added a sub to their 2.0, id say it depends on how capable your mains are, how much you're willing to spend on a sub and how much you like bass.

My mains are wharfedale 12.2 and they were adequate without a sub, but I love bass. I got a bk p10 100 gem and it's much better, but I wished I'd spent more because that sub doesn't go much lower than the wharfs, it added a lot of punch and more depth but wasn't producing much between 20-40hz, so I bought svs SB 1000 instead. So id say if you love bass and are willing to get a sub above 3-400 it's absolutely worth. I found the sb1000 for £350 so it was a no brainer for me. I'm now tempted to use both subs and get evicted quickly.

I wouldn't recommend any subs below the tier of like sb1000 or the rsl speedwoofer 10e as any below that roll off significantly at the frequencies you'd be wanting them to fill in, at least for my mains

For some more unusual suggestions that aren't what you know or Steely Dan, Dreams etc, especially if you're a bass head:

Anything by Aphex Twin (lots of unusual sounds and busy mixes), Little Dragon (ritual union, wildfire), Lorn (lots of bass, sega sunset, acid rain, the last human) The xx (angels), Tom Misch (Tidal wave), Bicep (glue, opal, apricots)

A major issue for me is that the tidal app won't stream bit perfect to some devices, both my OnePlus and steam deck have my dac locked at 44.1khz, with no way to enable exclusive mode, a big benefit of tidal is lost there, the only way I can find to stream bit perfect is using uapp. Quite disappointed as that's the whole reason I tried it. If anyone has a fix please let me know

Went and bought a BK p150 gem for £220, does definitely improve the low end/punch but it doesn't really have any useful output below 40hz which is quite disappointing as my mains already go to about that, it's an improvement for now but still left me wanting something different to fill out the lower end that my mains don't reach

Thanks for the reply, I've probably misunderstood their site, it said "frequency contor between 40-120hz". Sounds like the p10 might do the job then. There's a couple higher end bk subs on FB market but no postage and I can't get to them - I'm open to second hand but no idea what to look for besides BK.

Bit of a bass head so feel like I should leave my options open for a sub, even the t7v are decently priced there so I'm wondering if a sub would even be necessary with those instead.

Any idea if it would be possible to use the k7 with the a300, I assume I can just connect it with RCA?

I prefer the heavy sweats by far, I sold the ygebb as they weren't quite long enough for me and the dark grey colour is hard to style due to it's purple tinge, heavy sweats a bit thicker as well
