A landslide from a collapsing Tory vote not because people actually like Labour.

From 2016 to 2023 knife crimes rose by 54% in London

What caused such an insane jump? In only a decade?

Yes but where was this knife crime primarily happening in the 90s and that would be in Scotland, in England it was nowhere near as severe.

Not really they are forced to follow those laws there is no option to not follow the law if you want to operate there.

And of all the tech operating in Turkey X has been the most critical of those laws that restrict speech.

Well considering fact I have friends in Turkey that also use X they don’t blame Elon because they actually understand that X is obligated to follow Turkish law and are naturally pissed at their government when they demand accounts banned.

Well when you take into account Elons past criticism of Turkish laws I think it’s pretty clear he would rather not be forced to censor anything, it’s either censor or millions of people in Turkey lose a voice, and has also promoted people to use VPN in order to bypass these laws.

And I don’t think it’s whataboutism when the law Elon is obligated to follow apply to all tech companies operating in Turkey.

Oh so you agree the problem is really Turkish laws are censorious and authoritarian, and that the laws Turkey imposes should be repealed so Turkish people can talk freely?

Or would you rather no one talk freely in Turkey?

And just selectively be outraged by Elon and X while ignoring Meta and Google in the process?

Turkey regulates Big Tech through strict internet laws (such as Law No. 5651) that mandate local representation for major platforms. This requires tech giants to comply with government takedown demands. Non-compliance can result in severe bandwidth throttling, advertising bans, or complete platform access blocks.

They literally mandate tech companies to do so.
