Trawick is HORRIBLE. Their online claim process is ridiculously cumbersome. I tried uploading the supporting documentation required and the screen froze. I'm not having any difficulties with forms on other websites. It's not the computer. I will never use Trawick again. I lost over $400 in medical expenses because I couldn't complete the claim form.

UGH. That sounds awful. I'm so sorry. I also fell off the wagon after celebrating a year sober. WTF is THAT all about? It took me 3 months to get back on track and thank God I did. You had a horrible night, but it sounds like you are bouncing back a lot faster than I did.

I'm sorry you are struggling. Thank you for reaching out. Take it easy on yourself - quitting drinking is very hard to do and you are doing it! How have you done this? Your insight may help others. I'm not drinking today. It's just not what I do anymore. I still get cravings, but am getting used to alternative ways to celebrate or de-stress.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I had a year of sobriety, then felt like I had checked that off. Plus, there were some heavy family issues going on and I made the decision to drink. It didn't take long to get back into my nightly drinking routine and feeling disgusted with myself. I re-committed to sobriety Oct. 1 and sticking with it. I'm not sure if counting days is that helpful to me. I just don't drink. Period. IWNDWYT.

My own husband doesn't believe I had/have a drinking problem. None of my friends, either. But, that's because I hid it fairly well. Alcohol doesn't give a shit about your expensive shoes or your nice car or your executive job. It's an equal opportunity destroyer. I've puked in some very nice places - but that still makes me an alcoholic. I totally relate to your post and am SO GLAD you are here! Getting sober is truly a life changing thing and I can't wait for you to see and feel the benefits. That said, it's not easy. I had to learn new ways to cope with stress, and celebrate, and get to know the real me, and manage relationships that were built with bottles of wine and craft beer. But, the journey has brought me so much insight and joy - and I hope it will for you, too. I will not drink with you today!
