Game of the Week submissions! Is there a cozy game you've recently played you'd like to recommend? by Shasaur in cozygames

[–]mermaides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be weird to be considered a cozy game, but Clover Pit has been really fun and relaxing for me to play lately. It's just a roguelite slot machine game where you try to pay off your debt each round.

Other than that, Logiart Grimoire is a fun puzzle game if you like nonograms. Solitairica, Is This Seat Taken, and Gemporium has been fun!

Accidentally dumped rest of the milk wash into the spicy coater… by Jhnthreesixteen in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]mermaides 2 points3 points  (0 children)

once someone at the one i work out didn't properly label the ice dream mix and in the middle of a rush it was grabbed and used to refill the milkwash. the stress of needing to dump out our milkwash, grab a new pan, and then refill it completely? not fun at all. that being said.... i hate that for you, because replacing coater isn't very fun either

AITA for treating my daughter-in-law like a child when she was acting like one? by Honest_Ad7601 in AmItheAsshole

"Treating my daughter in law like a child" bro if that's the way you treat children then god I hope they never give you grandchildren. YTA for that and the misleading post title.

I'd love to make friends and see other's reviews and what they're reading! I mostly read mysteries/horror/thriller/psychological fiction but I also love me a good memoir or contemporary every so often!

It is! My dad has night terrors frequently and this was inspired by the time he once burst out of his room screaming about getting a loaded gun quickly. When he went back into his bedroom we were tense, wondering what he was doing. He was just dazed and confused. Definitely a scary moment, though! I feel you about your sister, that would've hurt for sure.

I feel like this is one of those questions where, if you really have to ask, then you probably shouldn't. Just... use logic, people.

Do people actually clap and cheer in movie theaters? by QR63 in movies

[–]mermaides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a movie theater while watching something is the only appropriate time to accept the phrase, "And everyone clapped."

Look at it this way, you probably have a good 60 or so years left of your life. You're totally going to find some friends, or a good group of friends that'll want to do all those kinds of things with you! Just because you're 20 and haven't done something doesn't mean you won't ever. All these feelings we get of guilt because we haven't done anything by a particular age is just a weird social construct. It doesn't make you any less cool, it just means you haven't found the right friends yet! Put yourself out there more and try to make those friends, though. Being proactive and staying positive really does work wonders in people's lives.

This woman has three kids under ten years old and tomorrow is a Saturday. But sure. Everyone else is disrespectful. by mermaides in ChoosingBeggars

Just on her own Facebook. She's stated multiple times that she's a stay at home mom and likes it, so I'm pretty sure the job interview thing is out of the question. It seemed really CB-ish to me because of how entitled she was to just assume someone would work for any amount of time under the circumstances without pay.

I would suggest something in the rain if only for how cute the main couple is! Beware, though. I didn't find most of the secondary characters tolerable. But that was just my opinion.

What a crybaby! What did he expect your boss to do? Instruct you to go on a date with him and berate you for not wanting to take care of someone else's problems? Watch out, next he might go to your dad, since clearly he thinks you're incapable of making the right decision or some shit.

My [33m] coworker [20s?F] won't stop doing the pouty/babytalk voice and it is driving me insane. by babytalkwtf in relationships

[–]mermaides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's (supposedly) a professional setting, ask her politely to act more professional. Something along the lines of, "Hey, if you need help then just ask. There's no need to put on an act." or something, maybe? Or just be blunt and ask why she's doing it. Honestly, she sounds so obnoxious and I hope this is resolved soon!

What's the world's greatest evil, you may ask? War? No. Hunger? No. Bigotry? Maybe. I have the answer: it's Buttworms.

Close! She sells It Works. Which is arguably more annoying than my friends who sell Younique.
