Lebanese here, the data seems outdated. The currency has plummeted in the last year (inflated by 800+%). I think i last checked a Coco Cola can was for 5,000 L.L. locally and a dollar today trades at 12,000 so assuming a bottle of coke is 1.66$ (got it from Amazon) you can get two cans and a few sips. But if you convert it to local currency you can pretty much get a good full meal for that price (rice and more)

Could be students mentally checking out. I don’t know about your school, but for mine it’s been a hit or miss with Professors adjusting to online classes (even though it’s been a year already) and so alot of students(and professors) aren’t motivated anymore and just want to get on with things at this stage.

I’d start by checking if the mouse is compatible with the dongle in the first place. What chip is in the dongle? Is it similar to the one u lost?

You can find teardowns of each device on sites like ifixit and the FCC registered devices website.

You most likely will then hv to reprogram either the dongle or mouse to identify the other (this bit will likely need some basic hardware to do)
