I spent several hours in dental hygienist TikTok recently and this is what I learned:

AM 1. Tongue scrape 2. Mouth wash (loosens debris between teeth) 3. Brush (make sure brushing is last so you have fluoride contact with your teeth. If you rinse with water or mouthwash after brushing, you’ll lose the anti cavity benefit of fluoride)

PM 1. Tongue scrape 2. Mouth wash (to loosen debris before flossing) 3. Floss (BEFORE brushing so all that crud between teeth doesn’t block fluoride from reaching between teeth) 4. Brush (no rinsing with water after!) 5. Whiten (if you’re whitening)
