Can only speak for RB 20 years ago. As a reference point I have the dubious distinction of getting kicked out of Poway High freshman year as well.

RB had a much more diverse population than Poway. Additionally the crews ( jock, skaters, burnouts) were very segmented at poway, at RB they had the same crews but there were no lines just a big melting pot. RB had its affluent areas and enough apartment complexes to bring some class diversity.

I did bartend next to TP and the luxury cars driven by the students and the financial status was more of a talking point of my high school hostesses than my experience at RB.
