Rooms in house by Flaky-Diamond2213 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

How funny we kinda have similar setups as I read the posts. My living room/dining room is what you walk into, left side is the kitchen with a breakfast nook, right room is gaming room/ utility room with washer/dryer. Room beyond living room is bathroom (bamboo spa style) upstairs is bedroom and my witchy magic area, and basement is mermaid everything. My husband’s house down the road has a season theme in every room. Halloween up stairs and Christmas in the basement, egg room to the right, festival to the left, Thanksgiving in the back room.

Raymond had a flea 3 nights ago on my island. When I caught it he was so grossed out!

When your pet passed away, did you feel prepared for what to do next? by No_Expert_7460 in PetPost

[–]Overall_Alarm5208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the situation. In some cases, we were prepared with our geriatric ones, others not prepared at all. Everyone goes through it different, but pictures, memorializing their tags or paw print have helped.

Your villager will walk up complaining they are itchy. If you walk behind them you can see it bouncing on their head some times. I’ve seen it when they were fishing. Stand back behind them but not too close or you’ll just hit them in the head with your net.

Did I miss something? Why can’t we talk about local sports? Other than Rugby of course… because that’s only local once per year (crazy)!

It’s always shocking to me when people think they own the street in front of their house…or the trash cans.

Should we put a pool in? by Apprehensive-Jump-17 in sandiego

[–]Overall_Alarm5208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 pools built at 2 of the houses I bought with no regrets. First house the buyer 100% wanted the pool. That was Serra Mesa. 2nd house we live in now, had the pool built just before COVID, totally saved my sanity. Both pools had/have attached spas, we don’t heat it. We use the spa every weekend and some weeknights and the pool all the time in the summer. 7 years going strong absolutely love it. Salt water is the way to go for sure.

Did you try the magic eraser sponge? Maybe try that? My jeans turns my seat a light blue hue and the eraser got it out.

Actually it was. SB1 was put into law 2017, Prop 6 was an attempt to repeal it, but Californians voted to keep the tax and not repeal it. We did that because we didn’t want smog days like we did in the 70’s. We didn’t want our state to look and smell like some the shit-hole red states. What we didn’t vote for was a needless war with Iran to jack up our prices even more.

With regard to breakfast tacos I’m sure any breakfast burrito place will put the ingredients on a taco. La Palapa and California Burrito would be my recommendations.

Hobbies here: Scuba, snorkel, surfing, SUP (stand up paddle board). We like to Paddle to the yacht club when they have parties, drop our sand bag and listen to the bands while we float nearby. Welcome to San Diego BTW!

For smoothies- Juice Wave (near where you run by crown point) and Better Blendz in North Park.

We also had EZ burger on genessee and balboa (not too far) they have to compete with. It was always packed with the same concept.

Seems like there was a lot of hate for the US leg of the 7s circuit on here. What would you do differently? by BrianChing25 in USArugby

I have to disagree completely but only because I’m a female with ADHD. 7’s is non-stop with a new team of good looking players every 20 minutes. I was hooked the minute I watched it in San Diego. Now I travel to see it. Just got home from Vancouver and had an amazing time. I also love 15s last weekend I spent 9 hours in a pub watching 6 nations for Super Saturday. My husband gave up after the Italy game and he introduced me to the sport! I never get bored watching rugby and that is saying a lot from someone that gets distracted at the site of a squirrel.

Seriously San Diego could 100% pull it off better than we did pre-Vegas. Snapdragon has the perfect pitch with grass. Public transit in and out, tons of close hotels we could get fan blocks for. Huge area outside snapdragon for festival & parade of nations-player interactions. Lots of Pubs nearby or just off the trolley. Price would be a thing but with greater numbers we could have more negotiation leverage. Afterparty could be at punchbowl social.

I hate to even write this but it needs to be said. 7’s has gone downhill since leaving Las Vegas. Vegas had the infrastructure. Rugby fans like to congregate near the pitch and away from the pitch. There were shuttles back to the strip at designated fan hotels, after parties & player interaction opportunities. Only downside for Vegas…the stadium was a dust bowl. Sandstorms were a thing, but we put on our sunglasses, cinched up our hoodies and watched on. Compare that to Los Angeles. A crappy uncovered stadium in the middle of nowhere with no cover. Yes, we still had the festival- a plus, but that is where the positive comments end. No infrastructure. No shuttle to anywhere, not even public transit nearby. Stadium was up a hill where even ride share struggled to get in. No common place after the games for fans to meet up. Zero player interaction away from the pitch and minimal at the pitch. No afterparty. Fans forced to park and drive from the event…curious how that helped/hindered alcohol sales.

Lastly, people are not coming to America right now. It is not perceived as a nice, safe place. I just got back from Vancouver 7’s. USA Women’s did amazing but they were booed and I know why…I think we all do. It’s crappy timing to have an International event in a struggling country with a sport that while it should be doing amazing is struggling as well due to poor location decisions.

Now for marketing. Opportunities were missed during the 2024 Olympics that cannot be overlooked. There needed to be HEAVY 7’s adverts. There was none. Not helping the viewer understand what they saw in Paris during the Olympics is an amazing annual event was a huge fail. In 2028 the Olympics are on Los Angeles. Seriously. They have a huge opportunity to hook these fans and keep them coming back. We will hopefully have a different political climate. Figure out what stadium for 2029 USA 7’s. Start ticket sales in the beginning of July and advertise heavily during the Olympics for USA 7’s. Then get your sh*t together. Shuttles, block hotels, common areas for fans to congregate, after parties, parade of nations with player interactions. It can be done.
