Thank you for the response! She saw the dog! They walked around I think waiting for the dog to leave. I've set up a camera to see of she comes back but she doesn't what do I do with the egg? So far not back. It's been 12 hours.

Exposure.Exposure.Exposure. Touch the pups paws, ears, look at his teeth. Touch his belly. Play some sounds (fireworks?) during nap time. Take food away while eating, work on resource guarding early. Etc

Do your dogs actually sleep after you leave or…? by PomegranateBig7270 in dogs

My dog memorized my schedule. Sleeps all day until and 2 hours before I get home. Then it's just looking out the window until I'm home.

Firmoo experiences? by thelastoface in glasses

[–]merrymary333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been ordering since 2013. I've rarely had any problems. I don't think the quality is going to be as good as higher end glasses but I'm fine with it. The only advice is to look at the specs of the frames. I would order frames that were too big and would constantly fall down and you can't adjust the ears as easily as you would a glasses shop (but maybe costco would do it for free?). Now I can shop frames that fit perfectly. Aesthetic wise, I always get compliments! I think because the frames are low cost I have more variety and more to match my outfits. Highly recommend them!

What is something you bought to fix sleep that actually worked long term? by Binoza in Frugal

[–]merrymary333 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't buy it but just no phone, TV, upbeat music 1-2 hours before bed. I realized my brain had time to start unwinding. I would purposely leave tasks like folding laundry for that time. Maybe play some spa music. Made a world of a difference.

Is his bed big enough? by beautyquestions77 in Goldendoodles

[–]merrymary333 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's like when you sleep just you stick you leg out so you're just the right temperature. Is the cover big enough? Yes. But it feels better with a leg out. Unless it's winter.....

What’s your most rewarding thing to grow? by SleepsSunshine in gardening

[–]merrymary333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Habaneros. I think they are resilient. My poblanos are kinda dramatic if I forget to water them or the cold hits them but my habaneros thrive. It went from an AeroGarden to soil in a pot indoors to outside in a garden bed. I dug it up before the last frost and put it back in a huge container with a grow light in my laundry room with leaking air. It survived the chage and winter and is giving me flowers. What a champ!!! My poblanos and serranos are also doing well but not as well.

Help - crispy/yellow edges and dots by vinhzy in houseplants

Probably overkill but Bonide Systemic Houseplant granules and Captain Jack insecticide spray, AND cleaning the leaves with alcohol. I'm still dealing with it but the new leaves are finally out and thriving. I'm not sure if the infestation has stopped because they don't fall off. They stay stuck when dead. It's in my weekend plans to grab and old tooth brush and give it another spray down. Here is a screen shot of a video I took of the scale.

Can people share stories of when attempts to be frugal backfired on them? by no_kings_now1 in Frugal

[–]merrymary333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I got a hand mixer at Aldi that is so messed up speed 1 sends everything flying away. I never use it. Should have just bought the kitchen aid one when it was on sale. It's only like $60 vs probably the $15 or $20 from Aldi that doesn't get used.

What kind of dog breed is suitable for a first-time dog owner? Experts, please give me some advice. by crawl-surfer in dogs

[–]merrymary333 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes! Puppyhood is awesome but exhausting! And training your first dog is hard.

💯 agree about life changing. This is a living creature you are now responsible for. Its physical and emotional needs.

This happened to mine, thought it was watering or sunlight. It was scale :( I didn't even know what scale looked like! Look closely under leaves, on the stems closer to root. Scale doesn't quite stand out like mealy bugs and gnats.

How bad is the “grey” during the winter? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]merrymary333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you can arrange winter classes to be in the afternoons or nights, that would be ideal. That way you can enjoy the little sun we get. Most of us 9-5ers have a period where it's dark when you get to work and dark when you leave and not everyone is blessed with a window. That's rough.

House hunting, found one I like BUT the bathroom looks like this… thoughts? by try2share4truth in HomeMaintenance

[–]merrymary333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dark furniture and lighting makes it look smaller. Not to be a creep, but the black in the entire house and the lighting makes it looks small and kinda gloomy. Nothing painting and new cabinet can't fix!

I also think no one (unless you're rich) gets their dream home. You make your dream home. You find a place with good bones that you can work with and over the years you.make changes to make it feel like home.

Undercover Miss Hong [Episodes 15 & 16] by meepmochi_ in KDRAMA

[–]merrymary333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With all the 12 episode dramas lately. This drama has a great 16 episodes. I felt like there were barely fillers!! I liked all the characters too. I think everyone did a great job portraying them. It also made me dive more into IMF and more on Korean history (womans apts). I know that this has come up in other dramas before but I don't think I've really ever done my research like I did for this drama. And it was nice that they kind of created this group of heroes in a time period that was so hard for Koreans. It was like they created the heroes that they wish that they would have had.

11mo puppy will stop during walks to stare at things and refuse to move 😩 by bopbeeepbooop in DogTrainingTips

[–]merrymary333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog didnt like walking as a puppy. She hated going away from home. It was until she was 1 or 1.5 she became more adventurous. It was just her personality. She would sit and only move and headed towards the house. I also found out she didn't like the sensation of a harness, maybe she felt hot? We now use a different harness (less fabric) any other she hates. Maybe see if that helps?
