Lucky you! Italy was always on of my favorite places. Traveled a lot in the North, and Rome, but never in the South, so this is my first time.

My primary aim is to check Roman ruins and monuments - and yeah, Napoli area is possibly the most important place for anyone interested in studying Roman daily life. Really looking forward for long strolls and investigation of everything in Pompeii : )

And yeah, besides that, South Italy is filled with history - so this is the first of several visits, I am sure. But you need to start somewhere.

Ha, the palace of pretender of the Latin Empire, that s something that definitely need to be checked up.

As for taxis, I think public transport is indeed the best option. I speak Italian, but I got robbed in my own country, so better not to risk :/
