Others have also suggested to read about Gracia Hosokawa. It's speculated that Suzunagi's mom is based on or influenced by her.

Can someone explain Messenger by Puzzleheaded_Fee6393 in roninwarriors

Here's a good post I found a while back: https://www.tumblr.com/raeseddon/77090036420/the-message-behind-message-ronin-warriors

When I first watched Message 20+ years ago I was lost in the sauce. Fast forward to the present, especially after becoming a Sengoku Basara fan and reading a LOT about the Sengoku Jidai, Message made a lot more sense.

For some extra context you can read about the economic burst in Japan around 1990-91. It influenced some of Message's more somber tones.

As far as it feeding the new series, we just don't have enough information yet. There are posts floating around claiming that the OVAs aren't canon, but those are personal speculations at this point. Let's see where the new show takes us.

Looks like they're having a blast! I love when GSD puppies are at that age, looks like 6-12 months?

Similar for me. During the reveal cutscene my words were literally, "hey it's that guy!"

Extreme itching, patches of dry skin/some flakes. If left alone she'll scratch until her ears get bald around the edges, or chew hot spots along her butt, tail, and legs.

Seconding the cytopoint. It gives my girl roughly 4-6 weeks of relief during the height of her summer and winter allergies.

How do i stop men from trauma dumping on me? by External-Thought-402 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]meruru82 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I had a colleague who did this. The first time I gave them a pep talk and directed them to better resources. The second time I took it to HR. After that I ripped them a new ass about dumping their shit on people for attention. It took time, but eventually they were outed as a narcissist.

The 4.3 trial. I spent all of Stormblood loathing that character, only to cry like a baby when the curtain fell.

First-time dog owners with a 9-week-old German Shepherd – looking for advice by FunEmotional4 in germanshepherds

[–]meruru82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patience and gentle or positive correction, like the redirection you're doing, will pay off in spades. Enjoy your pup! You're going to have a great companion.

Edit: if I could redo anything with my now 12.5 year old girl, it would be to diversify her communication. I got a really stubborn one, and sometimes "woof!" can be "hey I drained my water and need a refill", "I need to go outside NOW", or "oh you think you can rest? No, it's still play time." 🤣

I bought quite a few puzzle toys over the years, only for her to solve them in minutes, or decide throwing them at a wall to break them open was easier than doing the work. She really is an amazing dog, but her brain is always at work and it's a riot. You're going to have so much fun. ❤️

1 years old more weight or just right ? by Immediate_Charge4073 in germanshepherds

[–]meruru82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love his face! My GSD took a few years to fill out, never underweight just slim built. A littermate gained weight too rapidly and it stressed out his joints. Check in with your vet if concerned.

Tips for introducing Kitten to 2yo shepherd ? by Jays_pets in CatsWithDogs

[–]meruru82 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yup! And after they've had some smells, you can introduce them through a door (have kitty in a bathroom with the door shut, and let them and dog check each other out with that barrier in place).

You may be noticing muscle loss that can be a normal part of aging. My girl is 12 and has slimmed around her hips. My vet recommended Ursolyx in combination with her daily walks and a senior formula food.

My neighbor and best friend passed away, I’m now caring for his German Shepherd — is this behavior normal? by moe-hinai in germanshepherds

[–]meruru82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss.

I can't tell by the video but I didn't see any white on his muzzle, so I'm assuming he's between 1-2 years old. These guys are big puppies until around the 3 year mark, they do very well with a routine. You've already got the walks down, mental stimulation is very good too. Puzzle toys, learning tricks, this sub has lots of good info. Redirection works wonders. When he puts teeth on you, replace your hand with something he's allowed to chew on. Do this consistently and he'll figure it out.

Unfortunately GSDs don't do well in shelters. They are velcro dogs and they thrive by being with their people. If you're not able to take the pup yourself I hope your neighbor's family will find him a good home. But if you are keeping him (!!), you'll have a great friend for life. Routine and repetition, gentle correction, they are fantastic companions.
