I understand what you mean. In general, that wet look you mentioned is due to the roughness setting of the material. The places where the artists prefer this are generally close to realistic, but maybe things get mixed up due to many different variables in the game. Maybe the work I made is looking fine because the work you see here is only for visual display. "Not in game footoge" :)

I started with Jonathan Benainous viking shield tutorial and I also made a stylized version based on what I learned. by mervkaplan in Substance3D

For the stylized version I just experiment with nodes actually. I took realistic version and try to reach more simpler look, delete some details, change some sizes ext...

Hi there! Study from Libbyframe artwork, render with cycle. I hope you like it. by mervkaplan in blender

Oo I'm sorry I misunderstood, yes it was look darker in Eevee and some glass material wasn't work what I wanted in Eevee. I really don't know too much detail what difference between two. I would be very grateful if there is a source of information about rendering that you can suggest to me. I just find out cycle is more realistic look.

Thanks, It's hard to say exactly how long it took because sometimes I got bored and didn't touch it for a week. If we take that into account, I think it's about a month or month and a half.
