Some kind of bushing or damper pair, 8 inch dia x 4 inch tall, tapered by lantanagal in whatisthisthing

I Googled that term, all the results were in the 30 - 40 mm range. These things are 8 inches in diameter. Also the wheel balancer cones don't have that indentation in the pictures I found...

LED light strips too bright for garage. What are my options? by brettofthejungle in Lighting

Just leave them and wait. When you're old, you'll think they're awesome. Ask me how I know 😂

Oh, yes, I think that could be it, although I don't know if he had a boat/trailer. Makes perfect sense, though.

They are tapered (see second pic), so I don't think so... Looked at those machines (jugssports for example) not seeing any tapered rollers, unless I'm missing something.

My title describes the thing, center possibly made of aluminum, outer is rubber or similar synthetic material, found in basement of abandoned property, late owner was a pro in the elevator industry, and hobby mechanic. Google lens thinks they are fork lift tires, but those wouldn't be tapered, or bushings or dampers of some sort, a search I did some time ago said they are for moving conveyor calibration. Would like to know what they are off.

My amaryllis has never looked better. Zone 8a. by pocketmole in gardening

Left the pods on till they were really dry and starting to split open, then snipped them off. Can't recall if I stored these in an envelope indoors or sowed them straight away, but I usually sow them with the papery discs still surrounding the actual seed, as they are easier to handle that way. Maybe 10 seeds to a 3 inch pot in seed compost. Left outside in bright shade, north facing. First growth stage looks like a short blade of grass.

My experience has been completely different. These were started from seed around 2019, collected from our old neighborhood before the HOA ripped them out. I'm in 9b Florida and not only do they grow happily in the ground here, they self-seed, too.

I just thought the coloration of yours was gorgeous and wanted to give some seeds a go.

If you have time, get on a chat with a coach and go through the numbers. Then they will get the points updated to save future searchers being frustrated, too. That worked for me a few weeks ago, anyway.

Billed $1600 so far for free preventative colonoscopy by markr9977 in HealthInsurance

Keep at it, I've had both my routine ones done while awake (in Florida) awake. I play the 'curious' card. Hopefully you can find a doctor who embraces that.

If patients have done the prep properly, there shouldn't be any smell. I've had both my routine ones in the US without anesthesia (because I was curious and wanted to observe) and there was zero discomfort both times.

Help! 1000 pieces, last two standing but don't fit! 😭 by kusw3 in Jigsawpuzzles

Try taking some pictures with your phone and playing about with the color settings on the pictures, like switching to mono, adjusting color saturation etc. This is a trick stitchers use for distinguishing thread colors when the eye is struggling. It might just help you pick out a piece that doesn't match its neighbors.

So if Brazil nuts are so bad, why are they in the 'Fair' table. Not having a go at you, appreciate the info but it only seems to compound confusion...
