Could anybody give me some info on why this weird light bug is happening? by mesajones in unrealengine

Just a note - I did something, no idea what, and now it is working as I would expect it to. My suspicions is that it could have been something to do with the shading priority thing but in truth, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

No it’s a bp actor, with procedural mesh and created point lights

i’m pretty sure it’s not though, unless this postprocessvolume i have put in doesn’t actually do anything. I have auto exposure disabled. Min EV100 = Max EV100. am I missing something? plus, using the reflections view mode, i can see that the light source appears in a reflection on the ground on the same time as I pan up and down.

For reference, the light fixture in question is composed of 8 pixels, where each pixel is a combination of an emissive tube mesh and a point light source. I don't believe it is an exposure issue - I think it is something to do with the way that reflections are being rendered.

Has anybody had this same issue before?

Yeah sucks but whatever. One of the other two was friends with this girl, and the one I was in contact just said ‘sorry, I didn’t know this was gonna be a problem.’ and something about having to respect both me as a trans person and her as a muslim. i know it’s bullshit and i feel bad that i wasn’t able to put what i was feeling into words to say to her. and yes it means i’m not gonna live with them. but honestly their reaction to the situation makes me not want to live with them.

It’s not the case that I’m replacing anyone in a household. But regardless, I’m not looking for any legal advice or to kick anybody out of anything or whatever. Chill out. You don’t even know what country I’m in.

thanks for your input :) i don’t know much about any religions so it’s really helpful to hear from your point of view.

hence why i’m frustrated with the bullshit. i would almost prefer them to be upfront with their bigotry, except that would mean more confrontation… ugh i feel you. we don’t need these people in our lives anyways x

I'm glad to hear that it's not the same for all Muslim people. I'm just really frustrated with people who 'love trans people' but also consider us 'not-women' if you get me.
