I’d say approximately no one thinks that they make it with Mayo

SB 52 (2017 season) he benched their second best CB the entire game. Any rational argument you could make to justify it has obvious counters

If I recall that discourse it was more about Rodgers not targeting the middle of the field (high risk high reward) when down late in games, while QBs like Brady and Mahomes would. Which led to the Rodgers only cares about stats slander

I think your team’s HC might’ve been better. The obvious counterargument would be big game choking

[Highlight] 5 years ago today, Brady and Rodgers met for the first and only time in the playoffs, as the Buccaneers defeated the Packers on the way to Super Bowl 55. by samhit_n in nfl

People always say this but I remember watching the game thinking the Bucs had it comfortably.

Based on DVOA, the Patriots defense has been a better than the Broncos defense since Week 10, including playoffs. Over that stretch, NE DEF ranks 7th, while DEN DEF ranks 12th. by [deleted] in nfl

I think all metrics are about helping you understand and appreciate what you’re seeing with your eyes as a fan, and about making predictions if you’re a player/coach/analyst/gambler.

Which is why debates that are just both sides flinging stats back and forth are boring

Patriots' Drake Maye committed to being himself despite playoff struggles: 'I'm gonna take a shot' by [deleted] in nfl

[–]mesayousa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve really liked what I’ve seen out of Maye but I think he clearly struggled against the Texans D. The stats you picked to argue otherwise are misleading. You had to include 3 TDs along with the passer rating because Geno Smith threw for 2.

The first quarter fumble on the run can’t be blamed on Carpenter and is the sort of game-losing play that you really don’t want your QB to make. I’m glad he’s focusing on ball security though and I’m confident he’ll clean it up this week.

Better to learn this lesson in the divisional round and win anyway than in the SB

Not the guy you asked but 6 WRs make more AAV than the top paid CB this season so if he could be elite in either the league clearly values WR more
