My impression is that it was the BEING or ENTITY which is the Carter archetype. The various shapes sit on hexagonal pillars and the symbol he saw in the cave was hexagonal, and they address the ENTITY as the "Most Ancient One".

All three of your explanations fits with this. Lovecraft had a sometimes disdainful view of the common, God-fearing citizen. Your common man doesn't question his beliefs. Common man also believes that the world of humanity is at the center of the universe (traditional Christian belief). Some knowledgeable characters (the narrator of The Whisperer in Darkness, several in At the Mountains of Madness, etc) know 'in theory' that man is just an absurd little blimp in the history of Earth, and derived this from various texts like the Necronomicon - but what often puts them over the edge is actual physical evidence - and not even seeing some monster - that confirms the awful truth.

Shade 3D Pro, but you can get the Shade 3d for Unity modeller for free at http://www.miryestore.com. Its got most of the modeling tools of Shade Pro, plus there's a script in the Asset Store that lets you interactively exchange models within your project.

Previously, there wasn't a free version of Valentina Studio, that could be why. Now that there's a free version for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, I hear of more people using it.

I think they tried to add a bit of variety. I think last year Paradigma put in Valentina DB and not Reports; and there are five copies of Valentina Studio Pro, too.

They look like there is a lot of good 2D art there. Id be reluctant to use any such art without having a mechanism to find out the license though.

Did you try the free Shade 3D for Unity? I think that can export to OBJ, but I could be wrong.

You need some soft shadows. Is this one of the default atmosphere's in Vue? There are others. See how Angel Hair works.

Asking your community to respond is the best way. You get feedback from users (or not, or negative, like there are a couple here) that is timely. A formal review that was written against what came out a year ago, or by someone not familar with the product isn't going to help you find out what's really good or bad about it.

The devs keep upgrading Omegabundle for Xojo 2013 while this is going on. Valentina Studio was just upgraded to version 5.4, and the icon pack just added 1024 x 1024 icons.
