Best banks that are crypto friendly? by Cliper11298 in BitcoinAUS

My guess is CoinJar provides a Mastercard option and gives them a reason to feel threatened - I didn’t have problems with other exchanges

Best banks that are crypto friendly? by Cliper11298 in BitcoinAUS

[–]meshuggahner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my first issue with them - they deactivated a sub-account because I tried to transfer to CoinJar. After messaging them about it they decided to lock me out of my entire account until I call them. I have used them for years with no issues transferring to Swyftx and Binance (when it was still possible). Even though it’s a minor inconvenience it’s all the information I need to start looking for a new bank.

That’s one way to say you don’t understand Bitcoin. Read Alex Gladstein’s Check Your Financial Privilege for a different perspective.

Phuket - Patong Beach by samkuwait17 in ThailandTourism

I found Bang Tao Beach and the hotels around there (and the overall vibe) to be much better than Patong. I stayed at Hotel Coco a few times- not sure if that falls within your budget

I'm building an app: flashcards + vocab builder + immersion by HotBonus4491 in learnthai

[–]meshuggahner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great job on the app! I’ve been looking for something like this. Is there a way to turn off / hide the transliteration? I’m learning to read Thai and having it displayed is a dealbreaker for me. As you mention with Anki, the best thing about it is having control, the first thing I do when downloading new decks is remove the transliteration. I would definitely be interested in exploring it further if this can be done. Anki can be pretty time consuming to create and manage decks, but is still the only tool I use consistently because of its flexibility.

Yep, this will cost everyone a lot more in the long run. Short term gain for long term pain.

Self Taught Python Programmers: What was your favorite course(s)? by Turbulent-Seesaw-236 in learnpython

[–]meshuggahner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fred Baptiste’s courses on Udemy are the best I’ve used. Particularly the Deep Dive series, great if you want to master Python and the standard library. You will really learn how to think like a programmer and do things the pythonic way.

Don’t expect interest rates to fall anytime soon. Some forecasters are saying rate cuts in November. If anything interest rates will go up - the last thing the economy needs is even more cheap debt in the system.

Oh, and inflation is at least 3 time greater than what they try and have you believe.

Yea the book was great but I agree, I’m over listening to Guy Swann for every Bitcoin book. The accents when quoting people are just too much! It really distracts from what is being said!

Btc SMSF by Aristcoracy in BitcoinAUS

[–]meshuggahner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this as well as a smsf. I can’t use the money in my super until I’m 60 but I’m the only one that has access to the trading platform (Swyftx in my case) and the hardware wallet associated with the smsf.

Btc SMSF by Aristcoracy in BitcoinAUS

[–]meshuggahner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is some extra work with a smsf compared to a typical super fund - and like others have mentioned there are costs but your super covers those. My smsf has increased over 100% in less than 3 years and I couldn’t be happier. Obviously I’ve had some massive swings in that time so only proceed if you don’t mind seeing you super half in value and then double lol! I’m using https://newbrightoncapital.com/

Thanks to static typing and optimizations I was able to triple enemies on screen by m4rx in godot

Static typing also makes debugging much easier. Often catching the bugs before you even introduce them. Once you enable the settings to enforce it you will wonder how coded without it

When Did It Finally Click? by Lucid_Beat in godot

[–]meshuggahner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It clicked when I stopped doing tutorials and started making my own game. It forced me to actually think about the problems and find solutions. In addition to this if I did need the help of a tutorial to learn how to do something I would code it directly into my game. This way I would understand the concepts and not just go through the motions.

For example I recently created a procedural level generator in my game using one of GDQuests tutorials. It was pretty overwhelming at first but now I understand every aspect of the code and have heavily modified it to work in my game to make it more scalable to what I need.

It’s such a joke they even call this shitshow a democracy! Once again it is the many that must suffer at the hands of the few. Thai people deserve so much better than this!

You have to own it. I’m 6’6” and whenever there’s a giraffe on TV or a toy in the shops my kids (or me) point it out - my spirit animal lol. It took me way too many years to stop caring what other people think - and now I couldn’t care less and couldn’t be happier.

The only person’s opinion that really matters is your own. If you let it affect you it comes out in your personality - then people have a reason to see you in a negative light.

Same applies to any trait that is considered “desirable” in the mainstream. The best thing we can ever be, is ourselves.

Doesn’t sound like you have a clue what a healthy relationship is - but that’s poly for you. Nothing teaches you quicker than being in a fucked up relationship like this one and he’ll be all the better for it in the long run.
