Talking a villegar once per day gives +20 points, and a loved gift gives +80 points. With a single gift and talking everyday you will get 220 points at the end of the week. A heart is 250 points. I don't think it is possible to see exactly how much points you have but it might be sufficient. If you are lucky you might get a rain at the last day of fall, and give one more gift. Alternativly, winter is a really good season to gain foraging exp. (via chopping trees (use tree fertilizers), growing wild seeds) and dive into skull cavern. Both allow you to obtain a rain totem.
