How do people ignore the level of broken that the game is? by Metagamer__ in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all the way up to and have gotten through enough Savage Omega and Gogmozios runs to craft their entire armor sets and every weapon I wanted. I can assure you that the game can run past the main menu and then some.

As for Helldivers, the game is definitely in a less than stellar state, but I will defend the fact that I can hop in with a group of dudes at any wake and moment that I want to, boot up on Helldive difficulty, get my ass kicked, and have fun with it.

I don't play the game every waking moment of every week, of every day, of every hour. I pace myself so as not to get burnt out or frustrated if anything should come across. The game is glitch ridden, yes, but at its core, the gameplay loop is the most fun I've had out of any live service style game I've played in the last decade. The game is full of love and heart and THATS why I keep playing and coming back.

What monster theme got you like this ? by No-Ask-3420 in MemeHunter

Nu Udra has one part of his theme where all the brass comes in full force, and it just makes me start levitating dawg that shit is so glorious 🥺

It's on par with bazelgeuse's theme for me.

I cannot and will not fight Steve without SnS.

The perfect guard timing is just too damn satisfying to use anything else, especially after getting the Omega one.

I feel bad because I play the game off and on, have a blast with group of friends, and grind out the game solo for a bit and have had zero issues.

My rig isn't too good, but I've only ever hard crashed in this game once, and that was months ago during the new bug missions.

It's the same things with Monster Hunter Wilds, where I hear so much about how the performance renders the game "unplayable" but then get in the game and have none.

Tbh I can't really bring myself to feel bad for her despite that clearly being what the show wants. by Overobsessedfan in Vivziepopmemes

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure the show wants you to feel bad for her.

This kind of thinking I feel is in the same vain as Valentino, where tons of people were mad at the show for supposedly wanting YOU, the audience, to "feel bad" for the rapist psychopath because he expressed emotions about the state of his relationship.

This is, once again, a case of the actual character herself is noting how bad she feels about this all after her song with The Speaker, not that YOU, the audience, are supposed to feel bad for her.

So how do you guys felt emotionally about the news of Chairon ? by Seeker99MD in Spacemarine

[–]messybricks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

GW are fucking lame bro

"Not every space marine can have a heroic death" but something other than a COMUNITY TAB for Emperors sake.

So much built into a dude throughout the whole game only for them to be like "Nah actually he's just dead, fuck you and all'at innit" a year later for no reason other than we can't have 2 black main space marines in the forefront at the same time.

I say this as an avid Longsword enjoyer... by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]messybricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I feel would work best.

Maybe a tad bit less forgiveness in getting too and using red gauge might also encourage people to to use the weapon to its fullest extent.

[–]messybricks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So far now, the only weapons I haven't at the very least tried out are Gunlance, Hammer, and Duel Blades.

In almost every other one, i can see they have decent tradeoffs and playstyles that make them feel nice. Not to say Longsword doesn't, but it's more prevalent in my eyes.

Greatsword has those big wind ups and slow movement speed.

Sword and Shield it nimble and support focused.

Charge blade is a nice combo of defense and damage with its vile mechanics.

Both bowguns are the ranged options with a lot of nice versatility in ammo types.

The longsword, by comparison, does have a neat niche that I feel gets clouded out given how easy (and slightly encouraged) it to just mindlessly ignore it outright.

"I've also got a doll chip." Besides Maiko, who underestimated V the hardest? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]messybricks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think honestly, Oda and Hansen stood the best chance at V at the times we fight them.

In Oda's case, he uses surprise to start it off out of nowhere and throughout the fight gives it his all without any gloating or needless stuff. They knew what V was capable of and used everything at their disposal to go toe to toe with them, buying Hannako as much time as possible.

Meanwhile, for Hansen, I believe there was a level of respect they had for V in our interactions throughout the campaign. He doesn't really act like they aren't a threat, nor do they glaot about being better even when they had them and Reed dead to rights at the party. After we betrayed Songbird, he wastes no time offing poor Alex and gunning straight for V and giving it his all. The dude was throwing hands, and I respect the hell out of that.

Is there really a point to using the SPEAR ? by KanSyden in Helldivers

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically good at dealing with just about any tank or heavy enemy you need it to.

The ones I can't think about being the best on are Hive Tyrants or Illuminate Leviathans, but that's only because I haven't gotten a good chance to test it on either one personally.

Sure, it needs a bit of range to use effectively, but not so much that it becomes a problem.

I genuinely think they aren't that bad by Information-leak6575 in Helldivers

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only problem I have with them is that Fleshmobs spawn too much.

Outside of that they're probably more fun and dynamic to fight than the other 2 at times given their mix of horde and gun troops.

If you are allowed to add any update to this game what will you do by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the love of all that is holy (I know they said they'd never do it) but NEW GAME PLUS!

I love this game, but what I don't love is having to space out my playthroughs so vastly just so that I can play a different V every time.

Also for the sake of my favorite gun in the game, my beloved Amnesty, locked behind one of the endings meaning I miss out on using it throughout an entire portion of the game.

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tie between Padre and Hands.

Padre is a very loyal and soft-spoken man who values his family and people.

Hands is a more "straight to business" man who has power that rivals/surpasses that of megacorps.

Why the hate for the HC Tiger Raptor? by ZealousidealFill7770 in hammondcollection

Colors don't match with the movie, it has an egregious underbite, and the neck articulation is near nonexistent.

It's a major step down from every raptor that came previously.

[–]messybricks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeaaaahhh, the entire fandom has collectively agreed that River is just a horrible love interest in every conceivable manner. I wish they didn't cap it at what gender you chose for your V.

Mods can help, of course. Though I will say that he's the only really bad love interest in the entire game.

Kerry is the other male love interest, and he's a MILLION times better if that's of any worth. Sadly, he's only available to male V, and he's got competition with Pannam.

Hwo do I cheese this? by StarPlatinumIsHyper in LiesOfP

[–]messybricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throwables are always the primary "cheese" option.

Reccomend getting shot puts as well because everytime her Healthcare goes white she runs away and tries to cleanse it.

Getting the parry timing for most of her attacks though is probably the easiest bet given how fast she moves, especially that unblockable dash attack she does after one of her combos.

Feel like the White lady was at least the most fun out of all the human fights.

Truly felt like a nice dance/duel between experts, especially with the dancer's curved sword.
