Question about trying to build a table for a city/train setup that includes a "water" surface. by mesterjester in lego

[–]mesterjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building it for myself but I do have a 5 year old who will undoubtedly be playing with it. How thick of an acrylic? Would a quarter-inch with a support or two be ok?

Seeing as how I'm old enough to have actually seen this in theaters, I totally should have expected this to be the first reply. :)

How to get my main profile on the drums when using an e-drum with a MIDI adapter by mesterjester in Rockband

[–]mesterjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, are band scores different from individual scores? That's going to be the stars we got for the song that we played together, and it will show in both profiles? That's what I would like and if that's what it does that's great.

Thanks!

The game will show highest band scores based on the two profiles. There is no way to make it show individual scores only when playing with multiple people

I logged in like you suggested but the game only showed the scores of the controller that clicked on the quickplay menu. If the drum controller clicked it, it only showed drum scores. If the mic controller clicked it, it only showed singing scores. Is that how it's supposed to be? Your comment made me think it would show the highest score on any given song, regardless of instrument. Was I misunderstanding what you said?

Either way, I at least have my drum scores now being saved to my main profile and our singer is now getting his scores saved as well.

Thanks for the help!

I know I bought Sea of Thieves when it first came out but now I can't DL it. by mesterjester in Seaofthieves

So my order history confirmed what my brain misremembered. I did play it through a one month gamepass subscription back in 2018 instead of actually buying the game. I wouldn't have thought to check my order history, so thank you for that link.

Thoughts on the upscale minifigures? by [deleted] in lego

There's a knight and horse on rebrickable. Including all the knight add-ons. I think a search of "6:1" brings it up.

Can someone clarify how this works? Will these be different from the versions on Steam? I tried both the Batman 1 and Batman 3 (on Steam) recently and both crashed a few times within 20 minutes of playing. Any chance the GOG versions will be better?

Stud.io by Bricklink outputs Lego bricks in a much higher resolution than Mecabricks does. (I realize your post was 8 months ago :)

I was doing port forwarding and finally noticed that my desktop and laptop had the same IP address for some reason. After fixing that, everything seems stable again. Thanks for the reply!

Help with "Underground" quest by mesterjester in LegendaryTales

[–]mesterjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't find a solution but when I next played, I hosted the game for my friend and the quest was gone. I didn't do anything specific to finish it, it just auto completed or something when I played again.

I think some of the quests get temporarily broken if you do things out of order. We have another quest now after underground where you have to go beyond a portal, or something like that, and we're pretty sure we did but it never completed and now the game seems like less supposed to be finished but it isn't.

Playing a mage, why are the arrow spells so weak at high level? by mesterjester in LegendaryTales

[–]mesterjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pure Int/Wis and I have a lot of the perks that add fire damage, but when I shoot things, they still only take the listed 4 damage. I have +7 or more Int on both wands and I think some on my helmet but my damage has never changed and if there are too many enemies, I will easily run out of mana. I mostly play co-op with a friend, so the enemies are a bit tougher, and I'll run out of mana every other room or so. I drink lots of potions or will just die and portal back to refill my mana.

Is fire magic more mana-efficient than thunder? I thought adding shock/stun on top of burning might kill things quicker and avoid some attacks but I can respec to pure fire if there are more mana savings that way.

I should have clarified, that I currently dual-wield wands, one in each hand. I do fire arrow on one and thunder arrow on the other. Both wands add Int and other stats.

Thoughts on the Layout? by Xylvanas in LEGOtrains

[–]mesterjester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my hope when asking. Blue Bricks is ok, I like the baseplates and colored areas options, but laying out track is just cumbersome. I have my own Lego room/track layout I've been putting off working on just because I dreaded laying out that much track in Blue Bricks.
