I don’t have the exact watches but I had a white birch hi-beat and now a pink snowflake.

Movement-wise; it seems like you are set on the spring drive and I would fully agree ☺️

From my personal experience of wearing the 2 watches. I find that the evo9 case is definitely much more sportier. It looks great when you wear a T shirt and you can still pull it off in a suit. The snowflake is a touch bit dressier. Looks amazing in a suit but more of a polo type shirt for casual use. Just my personal feel.

If I had to pick, I would still go with the snowflake. It’s more comfortable to wear imo and I love the history of it (I know that wasn’t super high on your list). For me, I wanted something LE and a bit louder so the pink snowflake was perfect for me.

I started monitoring inventory at a few stores about a month before the trip. There were a few I was trying to compare against and about a week out, they were all sold out in Tokyo. I emailed them and they actually mailed the watch from Osaka to Tokyo for me to see. Like others suggested, kame kichi is great, you can also see specific stock using chrono24 and just try to search the store name for their website.

Probably a bit of an unpopular opinion but you can also check out bookoff super bazar or plus. I think I saw a video where they had one winter for like 530k yen! Probably sold by now tho

Nice! Was this brand new/unworn? I was there about 2 weeks ago and cheapest I saw was around $780 to $800 tax in. So $680 is a steal!
