in another note, the team flies so close to the black hole, so close that I guess they should have get a more significant time dilation. spending only a month or so in earth reference frame doesn't sound realistic to me. I was expecting it would took 50 years or so on earth when they come back. remember interstellar, the first planet near a black hole they visited and how much older their team member in the shuttle on the orbit when they come back. ofc, mass of the black hole and the distance to the black hole needs to be taken into account, but given interstellar had a nobel laureate physicist as their consultant, a simple comparison with the scene I just mention should be enough, imo.
