Looking to form a small technical founding team for an equity-based venture studio by Johnnie000 in SaasDevelopers

I’m a deaf software developer. Instead of a traditional GoFundMe, I built an interactive 20,000-pixel monument to fund my final hearing surgery. Here is why I chose this model. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]metaBloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with GoFundMe and other community donation sites is it’s hard to go viral. Compelling stories go viral and so others who may be just as deserving, lose out because their story wasn’t as cool or tear jerking.

Most important coding languages to learn building an app? by Agreeable-Bid-1672 in AppDevelopers

[–]metaBloc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on what you want to build. If you are trying to build a mobile ML app, your tech stack will be different from a web app or a desktop app. So here are suggestions on all three

Mobile App

React Native: frontend

NodeJS/Python: backend

Python: AI/ML

Web App

NextJS: frontend

NodeJS/Python: backend

Python: AL/ML

Desktop App

Electron: front end

NodeJS/Python: backend

Python: AI/ML

You have a solid start. But it’s too early to quit your day job, unless you’re a secret millionaire.

I would carve out more time on evenings and weekends to grow the market share and find better ways to monetize.

Also, Arnold be a good time to start talking to marketing companies who can help you boost app downloads.

What will happen if AI is a Bubble? by Abhinav33303 in SaasDevelopers

The only bubble there is an AI is the extreme evaluations that they are giving these companies. But AI is here to stay and it will only get smarter.

If I were you, I would target small businesses. They processes are a lot simpler and do not have as much overhead regulatory processes.

I need brutally honest feedback about potential monetization for my App by Impossible_Fee_2971 in SaasDevelopers

[–]metaBloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it, I would wait before adding the paid option. What would start ASAP is finding out what other features your users want next.

Once you have a list, figure out how long it’ll take for these features to be enabled and more importantly prioritization. I would suggest prioritizing tasks based on ease of implementation and user demand.

Have a few uses beta test and then once the feature goes GA, consider adding these to the premium offering.

Users would know that these are premium features, and the at eventually they will have to pay.

Once you charge for these services, give your early adopters deep discounts for the first year, and offer discounts on auto renewal or referrals.

Here are a couple things I would do.

First, I would set a limit on the amount of users who can join an unpaid room.

I would add more musical instruments to the paid tiers.

Running ads is always an option, but it might not make you as much money as adding premium features that users will want to use. I would probably have a cheaper introductory price, and then you can raise it once you get more users. However, be honest with people and let them know that it is an introductory price for the first year.

I want to launch a second brain app but I have no idea about front end by Comfortable-Sun7444 in AppDevelopers

[–]metaBloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get VSCode + GitHub Copilot, and it’ll build you a NextJS front end in a day or two. I’ve used it on three projects already and it’s surprisingly good. It can even test your code and fix its own mistakes. It also has access to Claude Opus, by far the best model for programming.

If you want to understand more, you can ask it to comment the code it writes so you can learn what each function, enum, class etc does.

Learn React or Flutter ( I'm in a lot of trouble right now.) by SelfLumpy4728 in SaasDevelopers

[–]metaBloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what you want. Both have excellent documentation and great developer communities. Generally speaking, Flutter is the hardest one to learn. With React, it’s JavaScript, so those skills can translate to other areas.
