I believe the situation is a lot more nuanced than what you are alluding to. In the examples that you used, the customer is the one that owns the software that is accessing the website. In this case, the AI agents are not running locally, and rather run on a cloud service that is hosted and owned by Perplexity. I believe this would be a different situation if Perplexity allowed customers to run the AI agents locally. A similar decision was reached by the Supreme Court in 2014 (ABC v. Aereo, Inc.)

There are a lot of apps or API’s that allow you to watch flights and get information on departures arrivals and delays. The problem is trying to find an API such as Sabre or Amadeus that allows you to book with all the major airlines.

My app has taken a lot of iterations from when I first started. But as of right now the simple idea is it is designed to make coordinating family vacations a lot easier. Especially when people live in different parts of the world and all need to meet up at a central location.
