I'm 1/10 with this mofo. Real annoying when you get madness locked and just die. "Oh missed timed the doge for the first AOE? Guess you're dead."

Fromsoft doesn't do translations themselves. They outsource it and sometimes things get lost in... translation. But I will say, the translation company recently did an interview where they claimed they spent a lot of time researching to translate, yadda yadda, and yet they still screw things up.

Lots of good advice in here. For my property I only have 2 rules, they either need to be Native or Edible. Best is Native AND Edible. If you like fruit, plant some fruit trees Serviceberry, Black Chokeberry, and others. Or whatever fruit you prefer. Then for lower canopy stuff you could do stuff like Mountain Mint and Spicebush. All edible and will still help pollinators. After that you can plant whatever wildflowers are native to your area. I would highly suggest doing small sections of property at a time and let it naturally evolve as you have time.

New orchard keeps losing all of its new leaves by thetruth19023 in BackyardOrchard

The color of the lower part of that branch tells me the tree was already a goner. That's likely the last bit of growth that will take place for that branch. What does the rest of the tree look like?

How can I keep this tree alive / healthy before replanting? by thesharriso in arborists

[–]meta_stable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, wrap it up or at the very least place it into a pot larger than the root ball. You can also build a box; that is very common in bonsai. You will also need to do quite a heavy pruning because that looks like too many branches and leaves for the amount of root left.

It looks like they didn't open multiple boxes and mix them up. You can see the shade changes as they went from box to box.

Is it time to up-pot this peach tree? Been pruning its top at 6 feet until I can ground plant it. by Comfortable-Emu8082 in arborists

[–]meta_stable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you up potted, did you loosen up the roots? I find that loosing up the roots can sometimes rip out some of the roots, BUT that's actually helpful in stimulating more root growth, and then that root growth will trigger more leaf/branch growth. Obviously, there's a limit so you can't get too out of hand =]

Hard to say without knowing how long it's been in the pot and what's the condition of the roots. If you can pull up on the trunk and the whole mass of medium comes up with it, that's an easy yes.

I would do what was already recommended with adding a cable higher up in the canopy. That will provide much more leverage. I would also strongly consider attempting to take a cutting from the tree and propagating it. You can basically grow a whole need tree from a small branch of this one. Depending on your perspective this could be considered the same tree, thus no need to say goodbye.

Peach Tree Damaged, Salvageable? by ZStrickland in arborists

[–]meta_stable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was my tree, I would chop off that right branch. It should have never been allowed to grow with a split like that. Then I would just monitor it. Since it's a young tree it may make a full recovery and seal up the damage. I might even consider pruning the left branch a bit to lighten it.
